Especially since Jonah Jameson is an irresponsible crank constantly trying to turn New Yorkers against Spidey, a character that was Glenn Beck decades before Glenn Beck was Glenn Beck. They dropped the ball on an opportunity to show some real world ramifications of irresponsible media. Instead they crammed in current thing flags and box ticking representation.

I purposefully tried to blast through the Spider-Man 2 story as quickly as possible because I knew fatigue would set in and I would never finish it if I didn't just do it at one fell swoop. And to be honest, although I did enjoy it, I thought the ending was pretty muted and I could definitely feel the boredom creeping in as I was getting maybe to the 75% mark. Good game though.

Thank you for pointing out the wonder missing in Mario Wonder, and acknowledging the challenge of creating that after we’ve already been genuinely wowed by power up mushrooms and hidden coins as kids. I felt like with this game, they crammed a lot more into it but also forced it all into the surface of the game, so we were essentially robbed of the wonder of discovery. The experience felt like it was on rails. Anyone who got the game launch day Friday essentially had the exact same gaming experience that weekend. I feel like they could have made the gameplay experience more unique to each player and that would have supplied more of the wonder that was missing.

Spider-Man 2? Nope, that game already dropped way back in 2004. I have it on Gamecube and PS2 to prove it. Now Super Mario Wonder I do grant is a recent release that was never already released. I swear, about half the things one hears or reads online nowadays are false. By the way, New Yorkers DO criticize and insult the player while web-slinging above them in Spider-Man 2 (2004). One lady told me to get a job while I was doing a pizza delivery mission in that game. It made me feel great.
