I think they're really good as an icecream/milkshake flavor but I don't love them as chunks, would prefer brownie bits. I also agree with Garnt and Connor that as a cookie oreos are just okay, but I think that oreos are one of the best dunked in milk. Homemade chocolate chip are as good in milk but they tend to fall into the milk more easily. Add to that the familiarity I have with the brand and I'm on board. I was traveling in Switzerland and smoked some dank 420 with a friend and the only snack the stores carried that I recognized was Oreo so naturally that's what I bought. Really fun time. Fun fact in Europe they come in weird 6 cylindrical six packs.

Getting jam was already a chore but getting bread that wasnt milk bread in Japan and half decent bran flakes in Japan was awful, and I had to go get that shit every week. Then I was in Kyoto, we got to stay at the Four Seasons there. The best part was the buffet breakfast, they had both traditional western fare as well as more traditional rice and sides. So every morning I would stuff myself as full of bacon, sausages, toast and porridge as I possibly could, spent a minute letting it settle, then loaded up on rice and vegetables until I literally felt sick. That way, I could spend all my money on souvenirs and didn't have tp spend any money on food for the rest of the day.

I was satisfied with the coffee options in Japan although it is a step down from America. But I visited South Korea for a couple days and went to Dunkin Donuts (my hometown coffee chain from Boston) and was blown away that they don’t serve “regular” drip coffee. I don’t know how they prepare it but is all different. The closest is an americano Korean style which is nothing like American style americano. It’s good. It’s just different and this was a culture shock for me. The Koreans I mentioned this too were all insulted and thought I was rude to expect Dunkin Donuts to provide typical American coffee when it’s not a specialty coffee shop. My second culture shock was this unexpected reaction from the Koreans. Sometimes it’s best to just play it Japanese tatemae style.

Drip coffee is very uncommon in Korean coffee shops and restaurants. Anything 'drip' presently is cold drip. Other than McDonald's, I can't even recall seeing hot brewed coffee or a coffee maker that isn't an espresso machine. I reckon it exists in some places, but is so infrequently ordered that it's either been sitting around or must be brewed fresh. Back in the ' 80s and early '90s the only coffee one could get in Korea was instant coffee. This was even _in_ the coffee shops, which were fronts for the world's oldest profession and not a coffee experience. When Starbucks arrived in Korea in 1999 everything changed almost overnight. Now there are cafes in what seems like every third storefront. All with espresso machines. Most of these cafes are nearly empty. Given an americano is espresso plus hot water, it's kind of a hard drink to get wrong. I guess they're using different beans. Koreans are very thin skinned and defensive, so anything short of effusive praise they take as a slight or worse.

When I was in Tokyo on vacation years ago we couldn't find breakfast anywhere, so when we found a chain spot nearby our airbnb called Jonathan's it was a godsend. It's basically like an IHOP in America terms but it was actually pretty good and they were so kind. Everyday they'd leave us an English newspaper and even held our bags for us on our last day. Will never forget!

Oreos aren't good if you're not from the USA, I couldn't believe how overly sweet and tasteless they were when we got them in the UK after US tv charecters raving about them. Similarly US chocolate is really overly sweet and slightly vomit flavoured - really weird. Unfortunatly the US has bought up most of our chocolate companies and ruined them - cadburys chocolate is now sweeter and less chocolatey its a real shame.

Ya'll need to look up the REASON why American McDonald's ice cream machines are always "down", or broken. Its a super fucked up reason, and it pretty much boils down to the company that makes the ice cream machine bills the individual McDonald's store for labor but at a super inflated rate, and like they are super in control over the machines. If they go "down" they have cryptic ass error codes that the employees can't decipher, its not like "oh just turn it off and turn it on again", no they gotta call a support technician out there to "fix" it. This one guy though went through the trouble of making a device that basically acted as an error code decrypter that he could sell for pretty cheap to McDonald's franchise owners so they can diagnose their own machines, and the machine maker fucking sued their ass. There's strait up documentaries and investigations into this shit, its crazy.

I found it surprisingly hard to find a decent cappuccino or espresso in Japan. Far from impossible, especially if you're willing to settle for Starbucks, but much less pervasive than places in Southeast Asia like the Philippines where espresso culture has infiltrated heavily with tons of local shops and local chains.

Not a local restaurant but a local music store for me. I have bought so much stuff from that place for like 8-9 years that they know to call me if anything interesting is in store(in my case is if anything was in a white color). They gave me free picks, free set up on my guitar and let me play with the drum kit when i waited for my bus. I bought like at least 10 guitars in that place, not to mention a couple of pianos, an unhealthy amount of guitar pedals, accessories and what not, and they closed down not too long ago because of the building itself. I was kinda devastated ngl.

3:40 I can explain the issue with Starbucks on Ubereats. The issue is that you order from a menu created by Uber not the restaurant you order from and after making an order Uber orders the food from the restaurant. I work at a restaurant and when we run out of a popular items we continue to get orders for it from Uber and other food delivery services. Thats when we start writing "Sold out ask for refund" on the receipt. Weve even had delivery drivers come to the restaurant just to find out that the order couldnt be made and, they had to call the customer to tell them to cancel the order and ask for a refund.

The Oreo for the m flurry isn't whole cookies, it the crushed waffer cookies with some of the cream filling mixed it. Honestly I only get a McFlurry if there isn’t a Dairy Queen in town, otherwise I’ll get a Blizzard, cause they come in more sizes than Kids cup and Shot glass ( regular size and snack size respectively) and I have a ton more options than just Oreo and whatever other flavor your respective country has if any other
