The Digital Renaissance Is Happening Now

This is my best video ever. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when producing it.
During the 15th and 16th century in just four generations mankind built what seemed impossible for a thousand years. They advanced physics, mathematics, art and architecture at such a rapid pace that we can only look back in awe. But how? We look at the past and more importantly into the future where a second renaissance in science, technology, business and art is upon us.

A more basic connection with the plague is that it made labour expensive and made mechanization accelerate . Also, like with the enlightenment movement and industrialization age later, there were challenges to religious and other dogma..science and glass technology influenced artisans and artists, with things like perspective, and artisan glass technology supported the developments in telescopes.. ie generally, things far seperated influenced each other.. even glass windows vastly changed society in northern Europe...

I spend most of my time in my head and think about things. Sometimes I get an idea and see if someone wrote about it and if I can expand on this. Mostly it‘s just open eyes on what‘s happening on my Twitter timeline and thinking about what people say on there. This particular video came from myself, I wanted to do a video about the generalistic approach of renaissance men and how we could all become very skilled in various fields in the digital age. The more I thought about it the more I realised that the time periods have lots of interesting similarities and so I shifted the video into that direction instead.

Wild and amazing presentation and facts. I used permissionless leverage to write a book randomly during the pandemic and a few other shorter ebooks and made almost $3k. Didn’t even really promote it and knew none of my buyers except two. I made one video on the topic and conveyed it in the way the audience would be receptive to it, while remaining logical (logos). I didn’t even go to Amazon KDP lol. Once people see the power they have with digital literacy in the digital age they can create their own path and reality. Once you learn one skill learning others, more so optimization-automation-innovation, you can learn anything!

Interesting thesis. However, the situation now is very different from the Renaissance. An educated and clever person like Leonardo da Vinci at that time could master several different fields of human knowledge. Now it's a challenge mastering even a small niche, and make great contributions to it, given the amount of material that one has to learn. It seems that generalists like Leonardo da Vinci can't be replicated. Of course, one can learn far faster and far more today, but one seems to be confined to a superficial level, except in one or two disciplines at most. I consider myself very skilled in mathematics, music and sport, and I can speak 4 languages (italian, english, german, french), but I'm not a sport star and I couldn't write a great piece of literature in any other language than my mother tongue (italian). It's simply impossible to learn everything at an exceptional level. So we may have width, but not general depth.

Great writing and editing skills. Very entertaining and fun to watch. There is a problem though. The video is filled with mixtures between opinions, facts, false facts and theories. This is not the problem on its own, the problem is for the uneducated about the topics mixed together here, it is quite impossible to discern the mixture and know what is fact and what is fiction. It is more like a story, a myth rather than a historical timeline for what happened.

There are forms of art during the span of human history that propelled the artists to highest of social statuses long before. As a matter of fact, poetry and artistic construction of words used to make or break people in most of the regions of the middle east. It was also a badge of honor for eastern Asians. That is one of the few examples of false facts. As for theories being put out there without being portrayed as a theory, that can be right or wrong, is putting the art explosion (if you can call it that) in the mixture that lead to the technological and knowledge advancement that happened after the invention of steam engines, computers and so on. What do you think about those two examples. I would have loved to go into more details, but it takes a lot of time do so.
