Yes, the excerpt 2:11 also gave me the golden shot and opened the floodgates of my life fully. They bravely walked through the swamp in the open field. Her boot pants and feet must have been soaked. But they knew nothing. Proud courage and no retreat. Always forward, the MP at the limit. Our comrade was the first of the two. He ran through the swamp faster than his comrade. But his physical fitness was quickly punished and he found a death that could not be more decent and good. How often did they practice fast advances with the MP in basic training. He was often the fastest in his battalion. His boots, worn through the rain and wet, and his shiny steel helmet betray him against the light of the castle fire. His silhouette of the strong and determined man was a total end for him. An end that could not be more soldierly. In the open field, only in a moored position, did he try to do his duty. His boots gave him good support for firing his SMG. His face, simply fantastic. his uniform buttoned to the top as the regulations dictated. His uniform in perfect condition. But the most powerful thing about his determined body were his boots, which featured rock-hard shafts and a beautiful sheen. His frontline mission consisted of 6 seconds. He knew he was ready to be shot like a shooting gallery figure, but he was hoping to be faster than the opposing soldiers in the boat. A punch to his lower chest gave him the hard answer. the Ami was faster. He couldn't hold his MP anymore. The pain was too strong. He squirms to the side, holding onto his SMG as long as he can. But his strength quickly waned. He locked his legs and boots together and fell forward, facedown on the muddy ground. His comrade didn't even notice and fired at him until he too became a victim. Our comrade rolled around a bit and became noticeably calmer. His tunic got redder and redder. he bled to death in his uniform. what a shame. So much elegance and beauty finished in 6 seconds. But at least he wasn't shot by children, but by soldiers who know what war means.

The two soldiers at 2:11 are for me what German soldiers are in war movies. Strong and powerful, handsome too. Uniforms and boots immaculate, ready to take on all comers. They may be fearful inside but they show none of this as they storm into action, ready to avenge those fallen and to ensure none will follow if possible. The man at the front goes down on his knee and fires his weapon. Look at the determination on his face as he fires his MP40. But his action is short, a burst of bullets from the American's Grease Gun rips into his midriff, he crumples forward, cries at the pain that ravages his body and falls face down in the meadow, riddled and bloodied. His kamerad is horror stricken at the loss of his friend. But there is no hesitation as he opens up with his own MP40, spraying the boat and its occupants in a hail of hot lead that quickly mows down the enemy soldiers, for both of whom death is near instant. Even if they survived the shots they could never have survived the fall into the river or the explosion as the fuel tank explodes. Look at the face of the German as he sprays his load. Teeth grit in determination, his helmet recoiling from the kickback from the chattering sub-machine gun, his hands firmly grasping the weapon as its bullets kill its targets as intended. He is magnificent, one of my all-time favourite German soldiers in a movie! Even the Americans at 2:25 are momentarily surprised and admiring of his soldiering. But the Sgt quickly regains his senses, points his M3 Grease Gun at the German soldier and sprays him with bullets, grim faced in his own determination to avenge the fallen. Look at the German as he dies a magnificent soldier's death. He reels back open mouthed, eyes clenched shut as the savage pain and eroticism of the moment grips his whole body. He grasps at his belly, his hands bloodied from the gore spattered from his gaping wounds, yells in agony and then crashes forward to join his now dead kamerad on the one-way highway to oblivion. A brutal, but soldierly end for two brave men. And credit also to their enemies, fine soldiers also. A fair fight between four soldiers that resulted in all four dying. Nothing more could or should have been asked from any of them! Now those boots are left on the fallen, immaculate in every way. It would be a shame to leave them there to go to waste would it not? Fantastic comment mate, a real hot read and a great testament to 2 of the best German soldiers in any movie!

That's right mate! I'm really glad you also like these two German soldiers. Indeed, as I said before, they are perfectly illustrate what a man is and what a real soldier is! They fought bravely, even if their comrades fell before their eyes, they did not let sadness and fear affect their fighting. Even if they all fell to the ground in the end, they finished their duty as soldiers! So manly and so attractive!

This is an exciting video mate! Our brothers bravely fought back against the enemies! 0:04~0:07 So brave and careful, our lads are good soldiers! 0:12~0:14 So sad to see this, another brother was shot. 0:23 0:24~0:27 The corpses of our lads lie on the ground, The sacrifices of these soldiers will not be in vain. 0:35 This brother came here and ambushed? It's very clever, he will let the enemy know the horror of the ambush. 0:37 He did it! he killed an enemy. 0:44~1:04 But the building we were supposed to guard was bombed by the enemy, it was our responsibility mate! Our brother must be shocked too. 1:06~1:08 And in the next second with this shock, he died honorably as a soldier! 1:28~1:30 It's time for our revenge mate! 1:47 Forward bravely! Fight! 1:58 We and our brothers are in combat position! but unfortunately one of our brothers is no longer able to fight with us. 2:00~2:07 One by one we make enemies pay for what they do! 2:11~2:30 Soldier to Soldier! Soldier deserves Soldier! This should be my favorite scene of this video. 2:46 So sad, another brother sacrificed. 2:55 Oh, no~ 3:09~3:14 But this mate will avenge all our fallen brothers! 3:24~3:30 He did! Thank you for uploading such a good video mate! please continue to upload more!

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! The soldiers at the beginning have taken their training to heart and do everything by the book. They know what they're doing! 0:12 missed his shot and paid a hefty price. It's as well the chateau was blown up or someone would have had one helluva glazier bill to pay! Our kameraden around the 0:23 - 0:27 mark fell in the earlier exchanges, bloodied and torn. But their sacrifice is not forgotten! 0:35 got a hit but then paid a hefty price with his life when he was distracted by the explosion. Brave and foolish as one! 1:28 are the soldiers at the start, taking the fight to the enemy. At 1:47 those Yankees are in a strong position and there will be casualties here. 1:58, the krads are both killed. The rider is shot in the chest and the man in the sidecar is killed as he dismounts. Cut down before they had a chance! At least our kameraden silence the machine gunner who has done so much damage and held up us reaching the main fight at the chateau. 2:11 - 2:30 is my favourite bit too! Soldiers on both sides fighting to the death, brave and true. 2:12 is shot in the guts, moans and crumples forward. His mate runs forward, angered by the death of his friend and opens up on the enemy in the boat. Look at the determination in his face as he grits his teeth and sprays bullets into the craft and the men on board - they will not escape with this good soldier on the case! 2:15 and 2:28, he got them! Not content with that he keeps firing and destroys the boat - no more will escape this way (this guy is one of my all-time favourite movie Goonz!). Sadly at 2:30 his luck runs out and a hail of hot lead rips into his belly and he's dead, but how brave he was!!!! 2:46 never had a chance, and it was all so bad he took a dip in the river - splash! At 2:55 we see everyone inside is dead, and now they also take a dive to a watery grave. Tragic! 3:09 fights bravely on, out for revenge for the fallen, and at 3:24 he gets it! That Yankee is not celebrating now! But overall it's been a near wipeout for The Greys mate! The casualties are high, the chateau is destroyed and in the morning D-Day has arrived. It is the beginning of the end!!! Many thanks for your great comment mate, I enjoyed reading it immensely! And don't worry, there is more to come!

@@foreverblueclassics Well, maybe this is not a victory for us and the brothers, it can only be said that we and the lads made the enemies pay the price. However, even so, I believe that we and all the brothers will still obey the orders and carry out the task, even if D-Day challenge. 2:11~2:30 I'm so glad you liked this scene the most too! I really think these two soldiers perfectly illustrate what a man is and what a real soldier is, even if they don't say a word! I believe that if I fought with you at that time, you must be so brave too! And I would be honored to fight with you mate! Looking forward to your new video!

Action movie techniques were not as refined yet and some of the editing seems oddly timed, few if little squibs, or barely visible ones just before the boat explodes. But still this is a good early modern action film. 1969's "Where Eagles Dare" almost over did it with the insane wall shredding squibs during the hallway shootout, but it looks so awesome.

The 1960s and early 1970s is my favourite period for WW2 movies. There were so many classics, not least this one and the other you mention here, 'Where Eagles Dare' (my favourite). It was all exaggerated and not as gory as real war, but it was pure boy's own comic-book action style and I love it. And much of it was quite arty in some ways. Thank you for the great comment!
