@@dhaltonmiller1215 Yes it's a great channel and I'm subscribed. However, the accent is a little troubling. Hear me out: there is a propagation of AI-generated voices online and they are increasingly accurate. The ones you hear on ads are trash that some lowbrow individual is trying to sell those who don't know better. This narrator could well be human; I have no opinion either way as of yet, but if words from outside of English are consistently mispronounced then you may be listening to an AI. I just heard "shakti" pronounced pretty well, so I'm leaning toward human for this speaker.

I noticed at one point early in this video the narration says "even at 20,000 feet, it was rated as difficult," and I'm thinking about the 13,000-16,000 peaks along the Continental Divide in Colorado and Wyoming that I used to camp when I was young... heck yeah, 20K is tough. Even if you do mountaineering, even if you're a world class climber who's tackled Everest, that's getting up into very thin, dry, cold air, with not a lot of gear, food, or water to see you through the bad weather or washed-out or snowed-in trails you may encounter. It's easy to get dehydrated, chilled, and/or fatigued from low grade hypoxia. I've only ever tackled mountain camping riding sturdy quarterhorses raised in the high country, with mules for packs and food, and even they start to feel it at 2 miles high.

There are several places where people will vanish and die with ease. The himalayas, Ural Mountains, Siberia, are just a few.All of them are immensely inaccessible with few roads. The weather is brutal and so people can easily be killed by it, including a sudden strong wind which can blow people off a ridge. The landscape is clad in snow, forest, and rock, which means that you can get lost easily. The wild animals are numerous, and most likely weren’t scared of people due to the isolation. There are likely some people in the mountains that may wish harm on others like bandits. The cell signals are bad, and rescue services will be slowed by the terrain and weather.I think the combination of hard weather, difficult terrain, and wild animals meant that the climbers were tired out and eventually dropped from exposure, and then animals fed on the corpses or maybe a bear killed and took one.
