Bart Ehrman's critic on this idea was very funny. He said Mr. Atwill has not training in this field! So what? It is amazing for me that while Prof. Ehrman is very knowledgable, and has enough training in this field, is so weak in reasoning and arguening the subject. If Ehrman believes that Atwill has not enough knowledge, so he must come and show the story'e weaknesses, not trying to erase the case completely by saying that!

The problem we have is that some persons are too dishonest. First thing the word Hebrew was never about a particular race of people because the word itself mean to cross over or one from the other side,which is like our modern word immigrant. The second thing is that the story about Jesus was never compiled accurately and so it create doubts in the mind of the readers. For example can anyone explain how Jesus was born twice in ten years because hero's died 4 bce and Quirinius was governor 6AD. Then all through the four Gospels they are filled with inconsistency. If any man have a truthful heart, they know that some one can never be credible if he keeps changing his stories. Whether there was someone who had existed that was name Jesus or not, the truth is, the bible Jesus does raised a lot of questions base upon how it was written. Think about my last point, Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 16:28. Some of you standing here shall not see death until I return as king. So are we to believe they are still alive? Apologetics have said,he was making references to his future disciples but you judge for yourself now. The word you for "here" is the Greek word "hodeh" which when translated he would say it this way; " there are some of you standing before me now,that shall not see death until I return as king. " you judge for yourself on this and be honest within yourself. Something is definitely wrong.

Curious if you have ever listened to Jeffrey Daugherty "The Christian Whistle Blower" on yt ? He has 100's of videos disproving scriptures and the writings of the false apostles Paul and the 4 gospels. Way too much to even begin to list. He made me question the book i could never fully understand no matter how many times i read... nor could many of the best bible scholars. After this Caesars Messiah i've lost all faith in the bible. The old testament God was not a very friendly God. i really think you would enjoy JD's channel. He's all about the text so he translates all from Hebrew and Greek Most are only 30 mins. The new testament stories about Jesus sounds like missionary propaganda written by the best Roman/Grecian trained writers with the purpose to entice Jewish converts to bow to Rome aka the Hellenization project. One example of interpolation with the purpose of building a king that didn't exist: The three gifts presented to Jesus had a spiritual meaning: gold as a symbol of kingship on earth, frankincense (an incense) as a symbol of deity, and myrrh (an embalming oil) as a symbol of death. This information dates back to Origen in Contra Celsum: "gold, as to a king; myrrh, as to one who was mortal; and incense, as to a God." Origen, a prolific writer and interpolating specialist for the new Roman religion died in 253ce, which like many other confabulations of that writing era was interpolated long after the first century. But where were the magi and why didn’t Josephus speak of this entire magnificent event to Vespasian and Titus when he was abducted in the Jewish War that took place decades after Jesus was allegedly buried and the disciples allegedly sent to foreign countries to preach this message? Instead, upon hearing of the Josephus stories of a coming Messiah, Flavius Vespasian wanted to be the Messiah, which was on par with Caesar’s wish to be the Messiah, and on par with Philo’s disagreement of a non-Jewish Messiah. (apparently Philo, who worked for the Hellenization project had his limits.) It is easy to see why a Jewish messiah whom nobody knew, and who didn’t fight against Rome one little bit (even though the Sicaari and other groups fought against Rome) became interpolated centuries later by numerous Grecian trained writers. The fact that none of Jesus miraculous information was known to Vespasian or Caesar’s group doesn’t stop Clement of Alexandria from writing in his Stromata about the Magi among the Persians who announced beforehand the birth of the Saviour, being led by a star till they arrived in the land of Judaea. Yep, Roman Clerical writers were the kings of Interpolation. Look at the Buddhist monks and Gymnosophists who were teaching in the egyptian and now-Israeli location before and during the first century. It's easy to see how the Roman Grecian trained writers lifted stories to reflect far-eastern beliefs and claimed them as their own. It's easy to see how Jesus was a compilation of many different men from prior to the 70ce war, and conveniently interpolated back a few decades before the turmoil. Then missionaries went to pre-established Jewish communities far enough away from Judea where they'd preach about their new religion while innocents wouldn't know what was happening back in Judea. It's no surprise that Simon Bar Kosiba denounced Jesus as a fraud causing Judean's to be slaughtered in the bloodbath of 132ce.

@@michaels1749 It does get a little confusing and tough to keep all the players roles straigh; for me at least. It depends on whose interpretations one reads. An interesting version of the story presents Enlil as satan/devil whom the people of Abraham followed. www.halexandria.org/dward184.htm In the this interpretation Jesus may have been taken from the Egyptian, (as one source of many) which Egyptians may have followed after Enki. It's hard to say, but one thing is for sure, the new religion that Rome gained is patterned after ancient ideas. Rome followed the pattern that had been done before them traditionally, which was to use different beliefs from different groups, thereby providing a buffet to lure in all the new converts based on the premise that the convert would pick something that they identified with from a pre-existing belief system. In this way the new belief wouldn't be quite as overwhelming and completely unknown.

Just doing research on the origins of the Jesus character and how he was made up is enough to disprove any of those forged christian letters. Josephus was not even born when Jesus was supposedly crucified, he could never have met him. As for his resurrection, him appearing 3 days after his crucifixion, the story is totally copied from Apollonius of Tyana who was called the son of Zeus, did miracles, died, and his disciples reported to have seen him raise from his grave. The whole story of Jesus is a complete fabrication. Jesus and the 12 apostles are an allegory of the Sun and the 12 signs of the zodiac. It is said that Jesus died at 33 years old, but it is symbolic for the 33 vertebrae that lead to the kundalini raise. Jesus's miracles are stolen from both Horus and Dionysus. It is all nonsense, wake up. People don't raise from the dead, they don't walk on the water either. It's all stolen mythology and allegories.
