what amazed me was how Chris seemed to be compliant with Leslies mistreatment of his own son instead of defending him from the manipulations of Leslie. She was truly the "wicked step mother " you read about in fairy tales. The only saving grace here is that no one was killed. As a parent i cant understand why any one would treat children like that. Psst i like the little extras at the end.

I was thinking the same thing!! If someone I was dating didnt get along with my pets that would be the end of it, much less my child. Could you imagine as a child being told your terminally I'll & you have to go to treatment for it, but your still going to die from it anyway?! I mean if that isn't a WTF??? moment, I don't know what is.

I lost my daughter nearly 14 years ago on July 18th 2006. I went into preterm labor at 20 weeks and 5 days. My daughter lived for a few seconds. After I lost my daughter, I lost me as I was no longer the same person. In 2013 I was diagnosed with PTSD as a result of a traumatic birth and watching my baby die. When I hear of women faking a pregnancy and going on to claim they had a miscarriage or stillborn, I cannot stand it. I belong in many infant loss groups on Facebook, and you cannot imagine the amount of trolls we get in the group who fake losing a baby. Our grief is a life long journey we wish we never had to take. It's just disgusting how anyone can lie like this.

((Hug)) for you. I lost a baby at 16 weeks. Have PTSD and still struggle on occasion. My oldest step son who has multiple cognitive disabilities had jumped in puddles on the way home from the bus. I bent down to pull his socks off and he freaked out and beat the crud out of me- lost the baby. So I totally agree with what you said. This case also bothers me because I had a narcissistic mother who had questionable behavior my whole life. This case really got me.

Her bad behavior isn't his fault. It sounds like he's not very smart and was easily manipulated, but she's the one that's cruel and simple minded.

This sounded like a quick course on how to destroy your kids lives. At one time or another all parents try to manipulate their kids (don't think for one moment that the kids ever forget that either, that's where long running resentment starts), but to abuse them to this extent is beyond belief. Cases like this need to be seen and understood by the public. Thanks for the upload. Great work as always.

Though I was full of resentment at the time, I'm now grateful for the hours & hours of psychology I was forced to study in order to get the degree in my chosen profession. The knowledge I gained may have saved the lives of my daughter & her baby, as "daddy" is a full-blown narcissist. It took some time, but she gradually gained an understanding of his incredible ability to manipulate, use & destroy. Folks with these types of disorders don't exactly wear signs indicating evil & selfish intent. They normally appear as EXACTLY what you need at the time. As a matter of fact, out of all the psychology stuff I learned at University, NOTHING is scarier than personality disorders, because NOTHING can be found to fix them. Those poor children. I pray they can be kept away from dear old Mum.

Those poor children! She was NOT PUNISHED ENOUGH! I hope and pray the children will receive plenty of therapy to overcome the evil this woman committed against them. I feel terrible especially for her step-son. May God wrap the children in his arms and heal them. I am the crazy cat lady of my family. I have one cat, Sissy Sue. As I typing this she is sitting on the window sill "talking" to the birds I feed bread to, twice a day. My cat and the birds help me to be happy.

My current employer will not allow me to have any animals in the house, but I too gain much solace & joy from feeding & observing the outdoors birds. Also the squirrels, rabbits, possums, raccoons, deer... my employer has a great yard/forest, & I don't have to worry about protecting a garden (just have to avoid disturbing copperheads) :-)

Thankfully the kids survived Leslie...And so did Leslie cause this very well could have turned into a Gypsy Rose Bouchard situation. Psst Talk about “Petty Crime” .... People are being er petty over the segment at the very END of the video? Yes it’s a crime channel but having something positive is good after hearing about some horrible arse 💩 one human has done to another. And I’m sure CR needs some levity after researching some of these cases...

Hiya Crimey, I thought you were going to add, the son of Chris (the poor boy forced into the box) was found dead or missing/never found. I caught myself nearly holding my breath, letting it out with an audible sigh of relief when you finally said the children were all found "physically unharmed"! I'm so glad it didn't end up getting that dark & all the children got out "physically unharmed". I sincerely hope the children receive professional help! After he moved to Las Vegas he distanced our friendship but still occasionally talked. I was shocked at his actions. The details of the case would make for a good video. I had a partner in EMS years ago that was like this. Claimed she had breast cancer, came into work one day stating she just had a left breast removed the day before. Said her father died from a MI while driving which killed her step mother. Sister died of cancer and had to pick up the ashes at the airport. Mother died a month later of brain tumor. When it finally came to light that no one was dead she continued on making other stories to cover the previous. It was all very sad, and emotionally draining.

A gut wrenching story. As a mother with an ACTUAL sick child - this shit pisses me off! I would not wish what my son has gone through on any parent.... and in the world of horrible illnesses, he will be OK. It was caught before it was terminal. Thankfully. Wow...how was she allowed to be a mom. Also, why did her second husband allow her to torture his son, did he actually believe his son was mental? I mean I understand him believing what she told him about her kids, but c'mon you should know your own kid unless of course he didn't care about his kid. I feel so bad for these children and am glad that the justice worked in this case for them. I hope they are living happier lives now with no contact from these awful parents. I couldn't imagine telling my kid everyday that they're sick and going to die, that's horrible. What a kook! Did Chris know that is son wasn’t violent or just went with what his wife said? Even if he thought she was telling the truth he should’ve gotten his son help. Maybe then he would’ve realized he son wasn’t doing the things Leslie claimed he was doing. It’s sad how the children were lied to and some put through unnecessary medical tests and procedures. I have 3 once upon a time feral cats who are now pretty domestic. You go with their flow with these cat’s. 2 dog’s that love one of the cats. I love them all! Great narration CR! On hubby's tablet atm but needed to share this...We have recently lost my Daisy Mae, a 10yr old lab mix to diabetes & other ailments. She was blind in the end but could find me anywhere :) After she passed here at home surrounded by her family I realized that I have had dogs since 1988..very strange to not be greeted at the door or being a "thunder buddy"& holding her close til storms were over. Not sure when we will rescue another but please continue to post pet pictures & stories as it makes my heart smile ❤

8 years for making her son have chronic vomiting resulting to his gall bladder removal and liver transplant need, making her daughter believe she is the result of rape, make her other daughter believe she has terminal cancer and make her step son live in a cage? Hummmm...🤔 How about 8 consecutive child cruelty charges for each child? 👊

When you mentioned all the illnesses her children suffered from, I wondered if it would end up as munchausen by proxy. What a sad story. If her husband truly didn't know, he's not exactly observant, is he? His son tried to warn him. I have six dogs (Emma, George, Sammo, Licorice, Gilligan, and Buster), and a cat (Peanut). Emma is my soul mate, she's Corgi/Lab mix, and an absolutely wonderful little dog. George is (I think) a Chihuahua mix. He, along with his brother Shaggy, were my first rescues. They had been abandoned and I found out later they had also been abused, so I'm happy those people left them. I lost Shaggy a year ago. Sammo is a Schnauzer mix. I think he was dumped, he showed up out of nowhere and after months of trying to find out where he belonged, I claimed him as mine. Licorice, Gilligan, and Buster were rehomed simply because people didn't want to take care of them anymore. They are all little dogs. Emma is my biggest one, and she weighs 27 pounds. Peanut is a bobtailed cat, and prefers to be outside most of the time. Even when I open the door for her, she will look in for a few seconds, then just turn around and walk away.

Her poor kids, husband and stepson! That is so horrifying, how can you feel OK when your mother tried to make you feel you were dying as you grew up? The sadness they must have felt, then happy to find out it wasn't true, but then to realize your mother is a liar that hurt you for her own attention? 😭

For almost two decades I worked with students with dyslexia and related issues. Comorbid with this often comes ADHD, anxiety, behavioral issues, even spectrum disorders. But I will never forget the Munchausen by Proxy mom and her daughter. The mom was big, blousy and loud, trying all the time to micromanage her tall, thin daughter, 13 years old, who never looked anyone in the eye and spoke in a voice so quiet that almost no one could hear her. But most of all, what stood out was the sores the daughter scratched in herself. Her face. Her hands. Her arms and neck and scalp. None of the teachers could stand it...it was simply too severe. But we did understand that it was her way of owning something that her mother could not control. I know that the organization recognized them as a MBP family and I'm pretty sure the Directors reached out to CPS. It doesn't matter, in the end, if you're emotionally conflicted about something like that. It's the law. ...as is including Petty Crime. Ermehgerrrrd. 😆
