The effect on the environment might be better, but do you understand how lithium is mined, and how lithium batteries are barely recyclable, which will cause significant EV E-waste problem. Have you looked into the amount of money that would be spent on the power grid to become a normalized domicile utility to recharge your EVs more effectively once petroleum cars become obsolete? Have you even looked into the price of utilities? Clearly there are better options out there, but I hope you have fun spending 20 grand on a new battery in 10 years when their said “warranty” doesn’t cover your specific issue. Don’t get me wrong, I love the environment, but I personally don’t think we’ve evolved enough to make such a drastic difference, and EVs are certainly not the answer. If an EV is to your preference, then it should be optional, not mandated. Hybrids are the best answer for now.

This is not a challenge to any current competitor in this “drag” space. We have the Copo Camaro which runs the 1/4 mile in 7.6 seconds making this demon 170 look SLOW with it “only” running a 8.9 seconds 1/4 mile. We have family sedans that are quicker than 8.9 1/4 mile on street tires and cost less. Cough cough model s plaid(8.77 second 1/4 mile). I know electric tampons aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but they do get down in a straight line.

That’s what they need to keep up with the competition… this was an absolute failure when compared to Chevy who has the COPO Camaro which can be ordered straight off the Chevy website. It runs the 1/4 mile in 7.6 seconds when paired with the 632ci engine. This thing runs it in 8.9 seconds. Like really dodge? 1.3 seconds slower to 1320 feet??? That Camaro would have 5-6 car lengths/2 bus lengths on this thing by the 1/4 mile mark. We have electric tampons that have 4 door doing 8.77 seconds on street tires. What a beautiful car!! It’s sad to see that American manufacturers are getting rid of the ol’ “muscle car” name.. what a shame. I’m hoping there will be better to come in the future (not electric), but a possible change of mind. I don’t know, but whatever the future holds is looking depressing as of right now
