It's a hard life for a pet rabbit unless they are lucky enough to find homes with people that know how to take care them and do not dump at the first sign of inconvenience. People that dump their pet rabbits are, in my opinion, some of the worst type of people on this planet. Our family has had the wonderful experience of sharing our lives with 10 bunnies over the years. Most were rescues. Each one was amazing, with very different personalities. The rescued had a hard time learning to trust humans again, some taking 1 to 3 years of consistent love, good food and shelter, being cage free but once they accepted us, the love they showed us was incredible. Bunnies are so completely different from cats or dogs. And they love bananas and soothing gentle music!

Great job! Some parts made me cry. So sad how we treat one of the most precious creatures on earth.

Lovely documentary.~ It makes me so sad to think of all the cruel ways in which rabbits are treated and all of the misinformation out there about rabbit care that leads to them leading miserable lives even indoors. My rabbit is free-roam and I'm trying my best to give him a great life. Thanks for posting this. :)

Thanks for sharing this info. I've tried to find rabbit documentaries a few times now. It's amazing to me that there are very thorough documentaries detailing in depth the most obscure animals of the world yet hardly anything on common rabbits?! Does anyone know the name of a PBS, Discovery or Animal planet Doc. with a lot of information? Thanks folks.

I think having a Statue or Plush of My Melody and Kuromi is a good enough substitute for a Pet Rabbit for me. LOL

What an amazing video 😄 Thank you for spreading the word on bunnies! They’re so misunderstood; perhaps my reason for loving em so much haha

This really helped! I’ve been doing research on them to get more information about some rabbit tunnels around, and yes, I know domestic rabbits are different than wild rabbits.

I also want to add rabbits are considered one of the worst invasive species so it is important to spay and neuter them.

Yes! Yes yes yes. Please pass these laws and understand rabbits cuz omgz these babies need it :( like these animals r literally my entire heart n i never wanna see awful awful stuff happening to them ever again. i come from a house where my mom was a hoarder and she hoarded a bunny when i was very little with many other pets we should not have had and i loved that bunny more than anything and seeing her just sell her away broke my heart to this day and ill never be able to forget her because i loved her so much. i really hope i can contribute and help rabbits and work for saving them in my future because theyre just the most wonderful little creatures ive seen. closer than people to me even if i dont get to be around them that much. the entire hoarder problem needs to be stopped forever and so does the idiotic testing that comes with it. thank u so so so much for helping bunnies cause not many people or bunny lovers want to and i hope to see more like this being done. even if i rly hate seeing them get hurt TwT

I got mine during Easter but I was responsible at 13 and my bunny lived for 12 years and in between that I litter trained him but that was mistake because my place was his giant cage and I was just taking care of him and he learn that he could get away with murder and I let him lol

My God! People just don’t understand that rabbits need to be outside, with another rabbit at least 1 another. They should be digging holes. Period

What? I'm afraid your opinion is awful and is based on ignorance. They are fantastic pets, it's the humans that are the goddamn problem

@@Brumbulys I have 2 rabbits. They live in my garden in a protected area in Switzerland. They have a protected house to stay during the night. They dig holes. They have a huge hole that they made it themselves. Not cardboards toys. I will no more criticize people who have rabbits in apartments but sincerely is not natural. They have the garden to themselves and the cats don’t care. They eat fresh grass. They are creative in natural places. If you would have a safe place to have a pet dog with a safe garden would you rather let the dog in an apartment destroying the place? Or outside running and happy. If is a safe place that is what is good. But I totally understand not safe places. I feel sorry for the little things.

I've bathed my rabbit twice in the 5 years I've had her once when she had bladder sludge and it was all over her tail and another time when she flopped in fresh dog poop. Stop bathing rabbits it's not cute!!! If you want to clean your rabbit, use a brush.

I hate two types of humans the ones that abandon their rabbits and the ones that develop biological weapons and illnes against them.
