I've recently been having POCD at 20, and let me tell you, when I first had this groinal response with an intrusive thought or there was some kid that showed up in some commercial, I was quite a bit alarmed by it because I really don't wanna become the most hated thing by society, like I don't even deserve this fucking label at all, so I don't think I'd ever be capable of anything evil really, and yeah, I started having a bit of anxiety when I heard that I was gonna attend something that has children, or even my niece, so now when I go there, I don't like being around kids just in fear that I might get any kind of groinal response and potentially think of something quite horrible when that could happen. BTW when I have that POCD getting triggered the strongest, it's when there's a kid that's actually adorable, and I'm like "What!? Please say it ain't so" because the thing is, I find myself to be attracted to nice looking asian women who happen to be a bit shorter than average, so I would hope that it's not a weird mixup that results in potentially pdf filic behavior, and I have to keep on checking that, so it feels like I'm still stuck in life with this shit because I can't even think clearly for new creative ideas for what I wanna do with my life due to me feeling like I have stay vigilant, or else Imma have to deal with such social stigma

I'm crying. thank you so much for the video. because of the fact that people talk almost exclusively about groinal responses during intrusive thoughts, I felt like there was something wrong with me because it was happening without thoughts and I felt so much guilt and shame (I have POCD and ZOCD) that I felt like I was ready to kill myself because of the groinal responses. but it turns out it's just a symptom of OCD, just on a physical level.

Same. I have pain around it and constantly throbbing it because my brain is hyperfocused and it has nothing to do with thoughts. Just pain all day. I wanna cry.

I suffer from severe OCD too since i'm a teenager. Every day, every hour and every minutes i get different intrusive thoughts pf all type, and i am struggling managing that. It's been maybe two weeks since i've spoken to someone fornthe first time of my life about those thoughts. I'm 25. It has been about two weeks, and things are becoming clearer that my brain, to cope with trauma, CPTSD and all, create those OCD mechansim. And I have so so much different type of OCD that for me weren't before i truly started to speak about it. It's just the start of the journey. It will be a long way.

I related so much to what Chrissie was saying happened in her teenage years. There was no Internet, for advice and it isn't spoke about in schools etc. Your left with this massive doom scenario that no teenager should have to deal with.

Thank you so much for this video Chrissie and for being so descriptive. Some of these things I haven't heard anyone say and it's so helpful to hear. You are really making a difference for people so they feel less alone!! Especially having to wait 24 hours to feel better I juat talked to my therapist about it and I'm surprised to hear it.

Don’t have to have OCD to still experience unwanted groinal responses.. even if it still ego dystonic one doesn’t need to have ocd. And we are sexual beings everybody needs to understand that it’s OKAY… to have intrusive sexual thoughts and feel a groinal, your mind and body doesn’t know what thought is good or bad.. only YOU do.. a groinal response doesn’t say nothing about you like at all.. you can look at the sky and get a groinal.. it’s life. I’m also curious how a sensation can “mimic” another sensation ? If you are actually experiencing feeling that that sensation then how is it mimic???

Dear Chrissie thank you for this video and all videos that you make. You help people a lot. Thanks for your honesty. Is it possible to have groinal response when we try to check if we can mastubate on something? ❤

Hi Chrissie :) could you do a video on people who have had ERP and were in a really great place with OCD, but then life became hectic and you struggle with returning to that baseline you'd achieved before? No pressure, just curious to see what you think given that so many of us experience this, probably for months or years at a time :)

I have a question I thought of a sex video and I had a movement down there which i know is normal. Seconds later because of my pocd I had the exact same thought but with a child and then had the exact same feeling. I felt horrible. Is that ok and normal? The fact that my arousal felt the same as my groinal response
