This is amazing. I would shop around for rare performances on tape or cd and now i can find it all now for no cost. It is truly amazing to be able to watch this. Back in the day when Val Kilmer played Jim Morrison which seems just like yesterday I was like wooo what is this. And then I heard other classics like this and I realized that I was born about 20 years to late. I eat this music up like its turkey on thanksgiving. Thanks.

The way Jim looks at Robby playing reminds me of the way my uncle looks at me playing... They just seem hypnotized be the hand movements and the music... Jim was something special and unique :)

The Doors had a group of students from UCLA film school get the audio and video from this show. One of those students, according to Ray, was "strikingly handsome" with a funny name: Harrison Ford. Also, Jim in the beginning of the concert pulled mic from its cables. They had to use Ray's tapping white shoes to sync up audio from a different source when they edited.

Stephen Davis's book said this vest he's wearing was one Pam gave him and asked to wear. And earlier that afternoon Jim had been hanging out with Mick Jagger, who later watched the show from the front row. Davis hints that having Jagger so close kind of muzzled Jim's performance. Quoting Jagger post-show with something like "What's all this buzz about? That was nothing exceptional."

I knew Jagger was in the crowd; he labelled Jim's performance as 'boring'. JM dropped acid before the concert. Having done acid myself I'm amazed he remembered his lyrics! It subdued his performance slightly, but he's still the greatest frontman of All Time. His voice is incredible; him and Elvis- best male singers EVER.

Thats a traditional Afghan vest. I've also heard that the Soft Parade Tribute band singer has the original, but I don't believe it for a few reasons that I've heard. I have one that is almost exact, got it for $40. Its on one of my videos.

Ya, but a lot of the things that he did, the poetry that he recited, etc. were all written ahead of time. One of the best spontaneous happenings was at their last performance at the Whiskey. Jim did the oedipus section of "The End" for the first time.

@EatPieYes Funny thing is, all those people you mention were HIGHLY influential on all members of the band. They weren't trying to be REAL jazz musicians, but incorporate the JAZZ MUSIC they loved so much into their music to create a sound all their own. The untalented statement is a matter of opinion, but I really dig the Doors..Have a good one..
