I used the Doux cream and the Dove amplified textures on my daughter’s hair today. The Dove side actually had the prettier curl pattern than the Doux but once it dried the Doux side maintained the curl pattern where the Dove sorta dried out.

The doux gave you volume in a better place in my opinion. It looks really good. The dove kinda reminds me of when I used to wet my baby doll after I ripped so much hair out of her head as a child lol. It’s not bad, but it just looks thinner. And since I love the fullness of natural hair, I love the doux for you.

I think a lot depends on what you’re trying to achieve. If you want something to last a couple of days, I’d say go with the Dove. It was less frizzy and the fullness will probably come as it gets older. If you want that second day fullness (say you have an event to go to ) then I’d say go with the Doux. Either way you can’t lose😁

I feel like the doux did a better job of keeping your curls all the same length so that your hair looks fuller. It has volume everywhere but also definition and looks fuller over all

I like how the Dove is a little bit more creamy, a little goes a long way. However I also like how the Doux give the curls more pop and because iits a little more of a heavy product it weighs on the hair to give a more elongated look. The dove I think has more shine and has really good curl definition. It's hard, they both seem to work real well.

I think they both look good. They just have different purposes. I think you would use them based on the look you are going for. Compare the Aussie curling mousse to The Doux Mousse Def.

I think the Doux is better because it gave your hair more volume...I would use it for myself as well. I have high porosity hair...was born with it...so I would definitely go for that product. Hey! I’m curious about the Dove line. The Doux is a little pricier but if it works better, 🤷🏽‍♀️ Ok so the Dove gave you that Razor Ramon look right away 🤣 The Doux gives you that look too but it is fuller looking. But, altogether you look like a wrestler coming out of the tunnel to some fireworks 😂😂😂 The Jesus help section is the part none of us can see so you get a pass with it. The Doux is good for that section.

I swear by Dove sensitive bodywash. But I never thought they could handle my hair. Ok, Doux may be the better choice for me. I like Doux better in your hair also. It looks fuller.

You can tell I’m new and binge watching lol but I like the Doux brand. I recently tried CurlSmith lightweight cream and it worked pretty well. My hair is currently dehydrated so I don’t like to weigh it down too much. Love your channel 😊

I like how you chose similar products to review. I usually like a more elongated look on my coils (cause the shrinkage is insane). So Dove did a nice job of defining your curls and stretching them. But the look of the clumpage (is that a word? Well it is now🤣😂) along with the pop of your curls.....baby that's a good look! It Doux what it Doux😉. Both sides look nice, but I would and did already order the entire Doux line and I'm loving what it does for my high porosity strands. Once that's all used up....i may try the Dove products. Until you did the review on Dove- I never knew they had hair products for us! They need to show some pride and advertise!!! And kudos to them for the Crown Project👑.

Even before the test, it looked like your hair is naturally denser on the "Doux" side. But I preferred the end result on the Dove side.

Exactly !! I noticed that first off before products touched the hair on both sides. One side is thicker than other, which is normal because of the way we sleep usually and this makes a difference to the eye as well of how the result will be also.

I think the dove looks better! Although the hair dosent look as full..... the curls look healthy juicy conditioned smooth dark shiny and little to no frizz at all. Seems like that will last longer and eventually get bigger. The doux is really frizzy dull and not as conditioned or smooth as the dove. As if the product is just sitting on top of your hair.

Thank you for the background on the companies, that's very important. I love Dove shower gel and deodorant 💯. The Doux works best on your hair. The curl pattern and volume is IT!! It seems the Dove will give weight to thicker hair whereas the Doux would tame and present curl and thickness instead of weigh it down. Both win for different desired results. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I actually feel like they both look fantastic but for TOTALLY different reasons!! The Doux definitely gives more ‘body’ (not necessarily height/volume) and the curls are ‘tighter’ and pop more. The Dove though, I feel like the curls are actually fare more defined because the strands of hair have more separation, sort of ‘clump’ together more and looks more silky and less ‘frizzy’. It also seems to definitely stretch the curls more. So it seems like it’s definitely more on personal preference, hair type, and really what you want your curls to do! All I know is I now have two more products to try out 👀👀

Honestly I feel like the doux side looked fuller bc that side of you hair already looked fuller before any product. So I think the winner will be based on what a person is looking for. If you are going for more definition for longevity, Dove for the win. More moisture & volume, The Doux for the win.. I have both products & prefer The Doux bc of the lasting moisture but I use it for twist outs & not wash n gos! TFS! 🖤🖤🖤

Can you try Aloe Vera products next time vs Coconut? Or olive oil vs grape seed oil. They both are very rich for hydration and separation for sure. Maybe on a twist out style. I have your texture; so these videos are great to see!

You know Lin, if you could step up the game by doing these kinds of tests on multiple people (at least three) with different hair types? Doesn't have to be at the same time though. Different times but shown side by side on screen or whatever. Then they can come back 3-5 days later to show how the products hold up! I'm sure you'd get volunteers for the free professional hairdos. Think & do about it!
