I had oxalate dumping a month in and it lasted a couple of months. But then it was gone and man oh man, the arthritic pain in my knees, hips, and elbows was gone. My skin started healing from all kinds of conditions including dandruff, psoriasis, split fingers, bleeding gums and more. My 50 years of constant migraines ended, my teeth were clean on their own, the buildup went away, and more. It seems like it can't all be true, but I was 63 and feeling better than I had felt since I was a child.

I've been carnivore for nine months!! After eight months i started oxalate dumping. I did the recommendation by Sally and started drinking some lemon water. It worked!! Thank you!! I've lost 42 pounds, reversed fatty liver, diabetes and diverticulitis. I'm not winded anymore, no more bursitis no more bleeding gums. One thing i found out is, i could get off the floor without help!! I started crying!! I'm sixty and havent been able to do that in years!!!! I'm also mentoring three friends with carnivore. I'm so happy! Oh and no nore anxiety meds!!!! I love you guys!! BTW I went cold turkey because I was so sick from diverticulitis. I hear these stories so often, it's a wonder vegan stuff is still being sold in the store where I get my groceries. And I have to say, there are a lot of unhealthy-looking people wandering around that store. It's Sprouts, a kind of a large health-food store. I must say, I get my steaks from the butcher there. Grass-fed and everything. Yum!

I started the Carnivore diet on Jan 1, 2024! I was on Keto for 2.5 years I lost around 30lbs. But it started to stall, and the weight just slowly came back. Being that I was a Vegetarian for 15 years, and a Strick Vegan for 5. I was consuming Tons and Tons of Salad and greens! Beans, Legumes, and lots of rice! I had burning, and pains in my feet and toes. Always a strange inchy rash on back. Extreme fatigue, restless sleep, bloating, stomach issues. Taking truck loads of vitamins and supplements everyday! The list goes on, and on. I was eating clean and organic! Then why was I feeling so awful! I stopped the Salads Cold Turkey! I even quit the dark chocolate that was only my only sweet thing! I didn't know about Oxalates or Oxalate dumping. The crystals were coming out in my eyes! 3-4 days of Extreme elimination issues... Weird rashes that were on my leggs and feet! My doctor and his colleague were scratching there heads, because they never seen anything like it! They are now GONE! I am now in my 5th month of Carnivore! 😊 lost 10 lbs. So far I'm still going strong! Feeling, and sleeping better. The fatigue and rashes disappeared. I have more energy, no more brain fog! I still have gut issues but I feel that will eventually go away. Thank you so much for Sally K Norton, her book, and all the research that she has done to get this info out into the world! 😂

@kacielee24 ... Have you ever experienced "black stools or even bloody stools" as a part of the "oxalate dumping" ... I and my mom both experienced this taking a sublingual B-12 supplement that contained Glycerin/Glycerol... Which as it turns out is ALSO the same active ingredient in SUPPOSITORIES of all things, And it's also in every fat soluble capsule of vitamins... And while my mom and I were taking it the first few weeks we felt AMAZING and then it came on like a gradual onset of a flu like and then headaches and nausea vomiting and the the diarrhea...took almost a month or two to get over it AFTER we stopped taking it... We even tried a second time after a month or so of being normal and the same process happened... I don't know what else it could have been other than the Glycerin Glycerol or oxalates...just thought I would see if Anyone had anything at all similar....

It was through carnivore that I found Sally. I had given up on carnivore because I thought it was making me sick. I ended up with a 25mm kidney stone blocking my right kidney that led to PCNL surgery. After reading Sally's book I understand what happened to me. It seriously explains my childhood up until now. It started with veggies from my grandparents garden (constant UTI's, boils, ADHD) and then in 2018 I went keto not realizing what oxalates were...I consumed almonds, peanut butter, chocolate, spinach in my salads and more. So, when I transitioned to carnivore (zero to 60) because I am black or white for sure...I got sick. Plantar fasciitis, heart palps, vertigo, and more. I left carnivore many times because it would always happen. I finally realized that carnivore is such a powerful healing tool that when I cut all the oxalates at once it was like taking all the dust from my home and shoving it in my air filter. That was my poor kidneys...they could not detox all that at once so here came the massive rock that about made me lose my right kidney. I am now happily eating 90% carnivore and no more vertigo, plantar fasciitis, high bp, acne...all gone. I know I have a long way yet to go but now with Kelly and Sally's coaching group in my healing toolbox I finally have answers I have looked for my whole life!! I had the kidney stone in 2022 and as of two years have not developed more. I do have one more 10mm in my left kidney just sitting there. I feel as if I opened a magic box learning about oxalates and having carnivore on my side. I only use veggie sides as medicine now. Sorry this was so long. I had talked about this on my YT not that long ago. I could cry tears of joy with this info. I know it will help so many.

At least according to so called experts. I began to lower carbs slowly. Took away added sugar and then processed foods and then heard Sally!!! My symptoms suddenly explained!! I began to take away the foods on her list. Oh my what a difference! I have tried to reintroduce some of those with negative results. Avoiding them for over 18 months now my bloodwork and lack of negative symptoms have proven to me that those vegetables are not as essential as the so called experts suggest.

When I started Carnivore I went all out at the beginning and regretted it until I came across a video with Sally Norton and realized I went about it wrong. I have been a strict carnivore for over a year and a half now and feel better than I have for a decade. I'm no longer having to eat any oxalates to compensate. It took about a month and a half for me to be able to drop the high-oxalate foods completely.

Started carnivore on 3/8/24, felt great first 2 weeks, then the diarrhea started. After 3 weeks, I figured out I was supplementing way too much magnesium. Stopped all the Mg on 4/10, and I still had the diarrhea a week later. Thought "low stomach acid" and added in an ox bile supplement, still no luck. Went all beef, no dairy, no eggs, still no luck. I read Toxic Superfoods during this time and figured out I had been eating a fairly high oxalate smoothie for breakfast for years (milk, yogurt, collagen powder, mct oil, chocolate protein powder, chia seeds, & peanut butter) with a pot of strong black tea. On 5/2, I watched a video by EO Nutrition that was about "carnivore diarrhea." He talked about low bile and high bile symptoms (don't have those), and he mentioned oxalate dumping (I hadn't put 2 & 2 together to get 4 yet). He said to find out if it was oxalate dumping, eat a handful of peanuts. I did, and symptoms subsided. On 5/6, I added back in a pot of strong black tea with breakfast (hamburger patties or bacon & eggs now) plus some peanuts after dinner. I started bumping up the peanuts over the last couple of weeks to 28g of peanuts with my 3 meals. I still have some diarrhea issues, but they are better than they were. My plan is to stick with the tea and peanuts for the next week and see if things will go back to normal. I like the peanuts because I can weigh them to get a more accurate oxalate number than a pot of tea, easier to start doing a reduction when the time comes, hopefully soon. I had a cranky R hip & L knee this morning, and I thought it was from bucking & chucking firewood the last couple of days. Just finished my pot of tea, and they both feel better.

Pretty much oxylates dumping is like any drug withdrawal. In order to decrease nasty symptoms you have to take a small amount of poison in order to feel better. I think I am also dealing with oxalates dumping second time. Rash just shows up on my upper back. It iches sometimes. I thought I was done with it last year but just like Sally said oxalates dumping may happen even years after becoming carnivore.

I went Carnivore overnight in April 2023 and within 3 weeks I was at the E.R. with cardiac symptoms. I started having aFIB within a few days of going Carnivore, which was worse at night and interfered with my sleep. During the day it wasn't so bad, but at night it was terrible, to the point I was afraid to lie down to go to sleep. I stayed up later and later until like 1-2 in the morning and needing to be up for work by 7. Then in addition I started to have the sensation of blacking out when I would finally drift off to sleep, only to be jolted awake by a surge of adrenaline. So, in addition to an irregular heartbeat, now I also had a rapid heart rate. After 3 weeks of virtually no sleep except maybe an hour or two a night, I was a flipping mess. At the hospital all the tests came back normal, 3 rounds of blood work and multiple EKGs. I had a follow-up with a cardiologist and wore a holter monitor which showed nothing abnormal. I added back in some carbs for a few weeks, and then gradually lowered them again over a period of 3 months, while at the same time also lowering the non-insulin injectable type 2 diabetes medicine I've taken in one form or another for close to 20 years. I've been off the diabetes meds now 8 months, down 80 lbs. I still have a lot of weight to lose, my current weight is 280 and my top weight was 360, at 5'8" and 62 years old. My highest A1C was 10.9 with meds, my last A1C in December 2023 was 6.8 with no meds at that time for 3 months. It's time for labs again, I expect to be around 6.4 (I wear a CGM so I monitor closely). My highest fasting insulin was 77, in December it was a near normal at 19 (I know optimal is under 10, but under 17 is considered normal). My highest c-reactive protein was 55 (FIFTY FIVE) and in December it was 4.3. I'm about 90% carnivore, but probably still getting too many oxalates. I drink Earl Grey tea daily and still eat berries, a small amount of dark chocolate, and on occasion a low carb vegetable like green beans or romaine. Mostly what I eat is grass-fed, grass-finished regeneratively raised beef, pastured and organic poultry and eggs, raw A2 golden guernsey milk, wild caught salmon, butter, cheese, berries, and grass-fed Equip protein powder. I will look for your book. I would love to be in Kelly's group, finances are tight.

My big question is, most all foods high in oxalates are high in magnesium. It is said that magnesium, when eaten with oxalates, can aid the body in pushing oxalates through without oxalate absorbtion. I am 9 weeks into carnivore and was vegetarian 4 years prior. I ate a “clean” vegetarian diet, many little to no processed foods and tons of fruits and veggies. I also took a ton of supplements and added magnesium to my drinking water that I sipped on throughout the day. I have yet to experience dumping. I know some people definitely have issues with oxalates. But what do you have to say concerning the magnesium part of this equation?

As far as addiction goes, I can confirm that going carnivore makes a huge difference. I quit smoking Jan 1st with nothing, no patch or gum. It was weirdly easy. Never was successful even with help before. I also had crystals on my skin so maybe my body had bigger things to worry about :) I did try to look up the connection between going carnivore helping with withdrawal symptoms but couldn’t find anything.

Now managing oxylate dumping after 19 months carnivore. The response of the highest profile carnivore influencers to this issue sometimes borders on cruel and has very much tempered my level of trust and my tendency to "hang onto every word." "Oxalate" is the big "no-no" word for some and people who fear getting kicked out of the club may suffer as a result. I give zero Fs about being in any club at the cost of my well being and I have no tolerance for cruelty. Sorry if this sounds harsh. It's what I've experienced. If you're a carnivore struggling with this issue, please don't be discouraged -- be honest with yourself and listen to what your body is telling you. You DON'T have to give up your carnivore journey and you're NOT a failure. Much love to Sally K. Norton and to those out there who are struggling with figuring this out.

Another point: I'm 63 now, and in my mid 50s I was getting some joint swelling in my hands, which really bothered me because I play guitar. I noticed one morning about a year into keto (with minimal plants) that my knuckles were back to being flexible and had shrunken back to normal. IDK exactly when they'd healed, but I was stunned, flexing them and wondering if diet had somehow fixed them. Today they're the same... completely free of inflammation... the hands I had always had as a young person.

I wear a night guard and I’ve asked dentists for years why do I do this??!! When I read in your book that when sheep were fed beet greens they started grinding their teeth, I thought whoa, am I finally discovering the root cause of my issues?? I’m still using the night guard, but I’m not having the jaw pain or headaches nearly as much since going carnivore. And I was eating a lot of nuts being low carb. Thank you for this information!!

I have bruxism, and was told that it's from the misalignment of my teeth. Not crooked teeth, but the angle of the uppers and lowers isn't correct. In my case I believe this really is the cause, and not stress or diet. That's because there's been times when I'm totally relaxed and about to fall asleep, and my jaw snaps closed like a mouse trap.

After a few weeks of a total diet change, my friends were asking me what diet plan I was using. @@expletivedeleted your first two sentences are clear, the third/last sentence is confusing/I can "almost" but not quite be certain of the direction you meant to communicate a couple aspects...could you clarify that third sentence please? I went RAW CARNIVORE in November and my teeth and gums improved, then RAW Lion diet in January and more improvement, about mid April I added: "Capra Mineral Whey" and started to notice an additional improvement, about two weeks later I restarted freshly squeezed lemon juice from organic lemons mixed with the mineral whey EVEN MORE IMPROVEMENT. So, I ask, because if someone doesn't understand oxalates, then they don't know much...and I worked in a capacity with an oral surgeon for about three years that was one of my former students under a therapeutic training program. And he was top in his field as a table trainer(hands on) for other dentists & doctors for over twenty years at national trainings. And it wasn't until recently that he learned about Oxalates and the missing link in all of this, and he learned about mercury (against his own profession) first hand and almost lost the ability to practice for three years (over 15 years ago) and had his eyes opened on the scientific and education and professional and legal blindness and corruption in just that issue...and even he hadn't known about Oxalates and their role in tartar, destroying dentin & enamel, let alone the rest of the nervous system, endocrine and the rest of the body. So I asked, because MOST "greats" in their fields know VERY LITTLE and are more often than not barking up the wrong tree out of ignorance and pride, not just money or agenda.

Same here. I am 70, started Carnivore on 1st February 2024. I was paleolish ( eating sweets and breads ), before that, vegetarian. Also, because of acid reflux and continuous back throat drip, got to the Acid watcher diet and began adding spinach smoothies to my daily almond milk! So when starting carnivore my oxalate dumping was evident. Cheeks, eyes, vertigo caused by ears. I added some small amounts of carbs like lettuce and cucumbers, avocados, and started to feel better. Strong heart palpitations started to lower as well. Joint pain, Gerd and IBS gone. Began drinking decaf coffee which caused me problems before. Weight training performance diminished because of the palpitations and fatigue but is getting better now. I still have tartar building on the back of my teeth. I have Sally Norton’s book which helped me to understand much better my body’s symptoms. I recommend it to my daughter and friends. Thank you for this great video!

3+ years in, 60 yo and apparently very sensitive to oxalates. Have been dumping them in periods, and my teeth are usually the first sign, together with a lot of tiny wounds on the front of my legs. When it gets bad, black tea and tiny pieces of 90% dark chocolate seems to help me the most. The chocolate is so bitter, and the amount so small, it doesn't cause any cravings (it's so far been stored in my fridge for 3 years) and if I'm not dumping, I don't even care for it. But the day I learned about oxalate dumping, was a true revelation! I now know, how to handle it, but it has taken time to learn and get used to.

Last summer at the beach I had a slight sunburn and I noticed in the evening I had these whitish hard "things" all over my chest and shoulders. They weren't blisters, they were structures that lingered for weeks. It was just so odd since I lifeguarded for years without ever seeing this type of thing. I had a hard time explaining it to people - how can you have tiny pyramids coming out of your skin? Well, just looking at my diet after hearing about oxalates explained a lot. I'm a work in progress trying to balance it all out.

Thank you so much for this video Kelly. I really needed to hear this as I was thinking the meat was causing my symptoms of joint pain and swelling. I’m only 48 and I’ve been carnivore mostly for a year and started having terrible joint pain in the fingers, knees and ankles. I’ve never had this before in my life but i did eat super high Oxalates years back when I thought those almond/spinach smoothie were healthy! Like you said I believe it gets worse before it gets better! It’s been a few weeks so hope it will subside soon. 🙏

@@myzerocarblife I’m going to try the black tea if I’m desperate as I’m thinking if I do take the tea the oxalate dumping symptoms might take longer to leave my Body. Not sure 🤔

What a fantastic video. I’d never really experienced problems with oxalates. I have heard of friends having problems and really didn’t understand what this was all about. I am so thankful for this video that I can share with my friends. I love that we can treat these symptoms with food medicines temporarily! Great information Kelly and Sally!

I had eye issues but i can't say whether it was oxalate dumping or a delayed reaction to botox treatments (to control myokymia and blepharospasms). All I know is that about a week after the treatment and about 3 weeks into almost carnivore (was still eating cabbage and cauliflower) I sarted feeling as though grains of sand were coming out of my lids and traveling across my eyes. Within 12 hours I had zero tear production, no tear film and could not keep my eyes open for longer than 2 seconds. It was a month of hell. Could keep my eyes open max 3 hours per day, early in the morning and then had to keep them pressed shut with a sleep mask or headband the other 21 hours. For over a month. Not dealing with that anymore is bliss. The myokymia and blepharospasms have not started up again yet. Really hoping they wont, as I dont want the botox again, and I also hope that perhaps oxalate toxicity was the root cause. My neurologist could not identify any other condition that could have triggered it and my MRI's were apparently pretty clean. Fingers crossed.

I loved this conversation! Oxalates can cause so much pain, and man I've been there with joint pain and IC! The point about not cutting them out completely if you're suffering with dumping is such great info. This isn't discussed enough! Well done! 👏 I just love you both! ♥️

First time I went carnivore, no issues. Second time, my bladder inflamed like a house of fire 🔥 😩 felt urgent need to go every 5 minutes. Dr says no infection. Can't wait to try the tea 🤞 tryed to ask my Dr about oxalates....she knew nothing about it. Thank you for this important information!!

4 months in and since I never ate veggies I thought I would not experience these symptoms. Now I realize that since there were times when I had blueberry smoothies with almond milk daily and since I’ve eaten white potatoes almost daily my entire life… I can look forward to experience dumping. Glad to hear what to did when that happens. Will be adding this info to my tool belt!

I went straight into strict carnivore. Within 3 days my joint pain was gone. 3 days!! I have multiple kidney stones, had previous surgery and lithotripsy. So far I havnt had any noticeable dumping signs. Been around 8 months carnivore. Ive just started taking calcium citrate hoping it will help remove oxylates and mitigate issues

Tartar can come also from being a non secretor. It often has to do with the gene FUT2. Apparently, 20% of the population are nons. How they know this, I have no idea as no medical professional, no dentist, or nutritionist ever mentions this issue. I'm four tears on carnivore and still get tartar For me, it's being a non secretor.

OMGosh!!! There was So much on the back of my teeth this last dental visit. Completely carnivore- 2 years and take good care of my teeth. It shocked me. But it’s good to know that it is from the oxilates…

I got this little instrument from the pharmacy to take off my build up every week, it’s not as sharp as what the dentist use but it works. I’m about 75 days carnivore drinking my tea every day and my build up is less now, but I know I have to keep my tea in my carnivore life because the amount of almond flour and dark chocolate I had in my life if very high.
