But the interlocutors of this video forgot or did not want to contextualize the facts. I an an Objectivist and I find this presentation ignorant and anti-reality. Most arrests were people walking through open doors, doors opened from the inside. The police never told the crowd to disperse and instead starting shooting rubber bullets at the crowd and throwing flash bangs and tear gas grenades. Cops violated their authorized limits on force. On top of this there were FBI informants in the crowd who instigated destruction of property. On top that there were capitol police dressed as Trump supports inside and outside the capitol fomenting antagonism. THIS WAS AN INSIDE JOB!! @JhiinTraxx Leftists enter the House and disturb proceedings all the time, all the time, and don't receive any sentence. They do this without being invited in. You understand that the police opened the doors and invited people in, right? And everyone has the right to protest in front of the building. So your premise is simply false. You cannot invite people in, literally ushering them in, and then say they have no right to be there. Familiarize yourself with the actual timeline of that day. What is hilarious is your double standard. Conservatives deserve years in prison and solitary confinement for entering a building whose doors were open to them but liberals can disrupt hearings with outbursts and receive no prison time at all. Don't you know that justice requires fair and objective standards? You have no right to call yourself an objectivist.

It is now perfectly known what they were subjected to, so I am not going to go through the gruesome tortures inflicted on them. Just because of this abuse of power reminiscence of the jail systems of a third world country or the KGB, Trump has the right and the obligation to right a wrong by pardoning all these people. And even after that, some mayors and jail officials are kidnapping the prisoners and not allowing them to be released. This last act is insubordination and should not be condoned. Elan speaks with forked tongue. Trump condemns the violence and didn't pardon those who engaged in it. So, right off the bat he starts out with a false a-priori assumption (likely based on his own warped psychology). Virtually all the violence was directed against the mostly peaceful protestors, most of whom were invited in, and the ones who broke in or trespassed were likely inspired by FBI undercover agents and have been handed long sentences. While Antifa rioters and arsonists roam free with narry a whisper of protest from ARI. None of the protestors were armed. The one killed was a beautiful young lady patriot veteran who was murdered by an armed guard with a long record of disciplinary issues. Speaking of violence, the DOJ had been weaponized against anybody who protested against the semi-rigged 2020 election. The ARI has been captured by bad actors with bad motives. At least Yaron makes a half-hearted effort at balance. Those in this video are unhinged and unethical.
@IanGilmore6 күн бұрын
So many lies. Trump did pardon those who engaged in violence. And many of the rioters were armed. For just one example - Christopher Alberts, who was pardoned, had been convicted of numerous felonies including "Unlawful Possession of a Firearm on Capitol Grounds or Buildings". He was carrying a loaded 9mm pistol (a Taurus G2C) when captured after leading the charge and attacking police.

@riccirohde33627 күн бұрын
Yes, political violence is bad but the argument is that you would have to re prosecute all 1500 cases in a neutral state to find out who was actually violent and while you do that innocent people are unjustifiably sitting in jail and have been for the last 4 years. As far as I am concerned it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer. This means we have to deal with the fact some people will get away with political violence in this case.
@Chris67-p9v7 күн бұрын
@riccirohde3362 Maybe this would be believable if ongoing/cases waiting for trial were not pardoned as well as the violent cases well beyond a reasonable doubt. In the weeks before the almost complete pardon trump and Vance said that it would be only for peaceful protestors or those who weren't "radical, crazy".
@chrisdryer6 күн бұрын
Nope. It was a set up and a two tier justice system if you consider DisruptJ20, George Floyd riots in DC… 3 times the police presence and much more violent but the judges let them go because they felt like their rights would be imposed on if they used the CCTV cameras and social media. Also there were instigators in the crowd and no plan before the event to do anything but wait for Trump to say anything… it never did. The dude in the glasses is a dork. “Oh Trump knew his theories were false… even when debunked”… sort of hard to believe anything when there is so much bias.

this is a message i sent through the new ideal contact us. i wanted to post it here not only because it cut off my ending because of an unsaid character limit it seems. but also because over the years ive seen i never get any replies when using these recaptcha chat message entries. Hi there! i am very well aware that this topic has been done to death. however i would really like some help quelling some of my problems i have with the current stance on abortion. specifically that being that separation is the point of where rights kick in. as i understand it the current position is that separation is the point where rights begin. however i see certain scenarios that are contradictory with this choosing point. but just a second i want a preface of where im coming from. if you look at 2 pictures side by side. one of a man and the other of a deer what is the difference? why do we say we "murdered" a man but "killed" a deer? what is the difference? the difference is the man has an "I" he has a self. and because of having that "I" he has rights. the deer has no "I" thus he has no rights. so this is my starting point. that "I" is what determines having rights or not. however this is not the point the institute has chosen to stand on. instead it is merely "separation". but there is situation in real life that shows this cannot be the case. the situation of that is with conjoined twins. conjoined twins NEVER become completely independent entities. bodies fused together in some cases where they share whole organs. but yet it is unthinkable to say they dont have rights because they dont have unseparated autonomy. so it seems to me the REAL starting point to choose when abortion should happen is when the fetus then forms an "I". which im confident happens at some point in the brain development. however this is a problem. because we concretely dont know where the "I" is. or even WHAT it is. which leaves us with a problem of making a choice. cause it seems if you lack this knowledge the only way to make a judgement is if you can OSTENSIBLY prove there is an "I". which i real dont know much about babies development but i dont think you could prove that until 3 months after birth. which i find unstomachable to think that after birth killing would be okay. so what do you make of this? and how do you make this seeming contradiction nonconflict with the current stance. again thank you very much ive learned alot from you guys for quite awhile now.

The capitol grounds were restricted for a reason: the protect the counting of electoral votes. Anyone threatening the security of counting of electoral votes is in the wrong. I would say that the sternness of the law or legal judgments, and the one-size-fits-all nature of law or legal judgments, and the danger of ignorance, mistakes, or abuses of power from the other branches, warrants the President to have the pardon power as a check. Anyways, governments have the inherent danger of a rogue President or executive, and so the pardon power does not do too much to change that. Other checks the other branches have against the Presidency and other constitutional limitations on his power, such as impeachment powers and term limits, are the means to limit abuse of the Presidency.
@tennoio13926 күн бұрын
I see the argument for checks and balances. What i dislike is that a pardon is an arbitrary decision of a president. In the end it comes out as "it's justice because i said so".
