Fusion reactor, normally you run a fusion reactor on something like deuterium but in theory, anything can be used if the technology was advanced enough. Cause fusion in something really dense you can get tremendous power (that is how a hydrogen bomb works after all). I'd imagine it involves gravity manipulation, crush matter down using gravity till it undergoes fusion then harness the heat. Side product is that the heat can be used as a smelter to melt down stuff (like droids) and be used to create new components to the system using this fusion reactor.

... err, what would you describe a star as if not a giant furnace? Are you aware of how incinerators work? The fire is funneled up a chute creating a vortex, air vents near the bottom of the chute then begin to draw in air from outside the incinerator due to the vacuum effect within. This feeds air to the fire, which increases how hot it burns and therefore intensifies the vortex. This creates an endless cycle of the fire getting hotter and feeding more air to itself. A star functions the same way, the hotter it burns the more atoms it splits which provides more fuel so the star burns hotter. Droids could easily function on this principle and the nature of this technology would actually demand that they grow larger so that they can contain the ever growing fire within them or else be consumed by it. Kind of tragic really.

​@@Search4Views Here I think it is worth to mention that Marvel, DC, Hasbro, Toei and few other companies actually share multiverse (thanks to canon crossovers with Marvel. Marvel and DC having still active deal, what is most clear in case of Arrowverse and Marvel basically writing lore of most Hasbro properties even if technically it is inactive). They also were ones who introduce those idea in Star Wars, through comic. Anyway both Marvel and Star Wars have Celestials, who are race of godlike robots (in episode with Morts we see probe, before heroes mysteriously appear there) and what interesting similar entities exist also in Star Trek, with stuff like Planet Killer, V'Ger (creator of Borg), Whale Probe, Edo God, etc. (there is a comic crossover, though for now considered as non canon). Most recent thing is in Piccard, with Quintesson-like members of machine race.

I think having a droid race like the Abominor and Silentium invading the Star Wars galaxy could be a cool way to re-tell the Vong invasion in canon. Sort of like the story of Horizon Zero Dawn where the robots are consuming all biomass, but on a galactic scale.

@@johnj.spurgin7037 The war between the Silentium and the Abominor has a lot of traits of the Autobot-Decepticon war from transformers, with the Silentium roughly equating to the Autobots (As they held no ill-will towards organic life and merely wished to be left alone beyond conducting exploration of the greater galaxy via 'youths' such as Vuffi Raa) and the Abominor being analogs to the Decepticons.

Fun fact, the imperial villain from the Great Heap episode, Admiral Screed, got an offhand mention in the New Jedi Order series that introduced the Yuuzhan Vong, saying that he was an old friend of Gilad Pellaeon and that he became warlord after Battle of Endor until he was killed by Warlord Zsinj. Screed is also cannon character, making a minor appearance in the Tarkin novel, but similar to his legend counterpart is mentioned to have been killed in pirate attack sometime after Endor in one of the Aftermath books.

How it is in my headcanon (maybe in old canon too, I haven't checked in a while): The Abominor and Silentium are too philosophically opposed alliances of droids, the Abominor favour chaotic growth while the Silentium favour geometric simplicity. They fought a total war against each other for ages with no regard to biological life. However eventually one biological race did finally manage, with an ironclad determination, to clear their sector of space of these warring droids and make them finally acknowledge biologic life. The two droid factions finally managed to agree on something: they will continue their war of course as neither could tolerate the other but with the understanding that biologic life and the planets that can support it are now off limits. Now free to compete without having to worry about a third faction emerging they continue their eternal war with it having carried over this new galaxy. A whole second galaxy spanning war (albeit a low intensity one) operates in the shadows of the galaxy unbeknownst to almost everyone. Old spacers will sometimes tell tales of coming across giant ships or even fleets of bizarre design and unknown origin in the far reaches of space after a jump gone wrong.

Their galaxy was involved in a war between two droid races, the Silentium and the Abominor; at least one member of each race managed to make it to the Star Wars galaxy. What are the chances that both droid races, on top of the Yuuzhan Vong, crossed the intergalactic void for centuries in a random direction, with seemingly no known target, and happened to stumble across the Star Wars galaxy, which is said to be astronomically far away from the Yuuzhan Vong galaxy? The best explanation is that they were from Companion Grek, or whatever the farthest satellite galaxy was, since then all three races would actually know where they were going and have a mutual target, which is still far enough away for the trip to take several centuries. The cancelled Supernatural Encounters novella actually confirms this.

In an alternate universe, Ronald Reagan was never elected president, in that universe, there are 3 big differences 1: Latin America would be communist 2: the Middle East would be communist 3: and most importantly, Star Wars droids would never have been made Regan deregulated every industry but when it came to kids television programming , he made it easier and more lucrative to invest in and advertise through children’s shows. So shows/properties like He-Man, Transformers, GI Joe, and My Little Pony would come from TV shows and movies that were aimed specifically to market toys. So without Reagan, there might not be any Transformers (in the west at least as it was already big in its native japan), GI Joe (though a US solider type protagonist was always an inevitability) or The Star Wars Droids tv series spun off from the movies. Someone get Alternate History Hub on the phone I got a video idea.

I love the look of that Abaminor in the thumbnail. Honestly, I think we should think of it as a primitive Cybertronian or Gobot. It would be a great cross-over or acknowledgment that the Transformers exist somewhere in that universe. IDW comics had a fun series called Rom( a character from Marvel ) vs Transformers. In the comics; it's described that Interstellar societies despised all Cybertronians becuase of how disruptive their ancient and ongoing civil war was to them. Great video! Thank you for posting!

I don't really see how the Yuuzhan Vong were able to beat the second group of machines really because those droid bulid huge powerful ships as large as the death star and also they are machines they don't need money, food, or supplies. All they need is material and power to bulid things. I don't know how the Yuuzhan Vong were able to beat such a force realistically considering how devastated they were by it before they fought back.

well. "material and power" is their equivalent of "food and supplies" so its really not that much different. the yuuzhan vong conversely dont need material or power or money, only food and supplies to grow their warships.

I imagine their biomancy would allow for things like rust plagues and corrosive acids capable of roflstomping droids. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't have more ionic weaponry. Something like bioelectricity weapons that disable droids.

@@thorshammer7883 is it? I mean. Have you seen how fast bacterial cultures grow? Or how quickly you can grow entire fields of crops with just a few seeds? If yuuzhan vong tech is designed to grow quickly, it'll grow quickly, and more importantly, it basically is self-manufacturing. As long as you have the resources theres no limit to how many worldships you could grow simultaneously, unlike machines where its limited by your industrial capacity. Individual devices may take more time but they can grow lots and lots of them in tandem.

Fascinating. Perhaps the world devastators were in fact inspired by the abamanor. Also that feels a tad more star trek than star wars, ancient droid race that's malevolent, and has been around for longer than most in the galaxy. But i like it! And it would make for some interesting canon material. Hopefully someone picks up on it eventually.
