Oddly enough, Vegito appearing to fight Fused Zamasu was not part of the original plan for the Goku Black saga. Toriyama stated that Goku and Vegeta in their super saiyan blue state was strong enough to defeat Fused Zamasu, and that because they became so powerful since the Buu saga, their character’s wouldn’t need to idea of fusion, but decided to bring Vegito in terms of fan service.

@@fateslegacyexactly, but this is what happens when a manga that wasn’t made for us, is taken out of context and we judge it based on our own values. Similar to the Bible and all these denominations-we’ve continued to widely mistranslate a book that was written for obsolete cultures-some of which should stay obsolete. I’ve learned Christians and Dragon Ball fans have the same problem-they don’t read. It’s easier to disrespect or misrepresent its authors.

Vegito and gogeta are truly the most interesting characters in dragon ball, while yes both achieve the same result a fusion from goku and vegeta but both couldn’t be more different in the way there characters are portrayed. Vegito being carefree and playing with his opponents because he thinks he has unlimited time (the fight with buuhan), yet he realizes later on he doesn’t and fights with the seriousness he should’ve had for buuhan against zamasu. Gogeta on the other hand is all serious yet has the good heart of goku always wanting to see the best in his opponents, never wanting to kill and when he is forced to he’s angry at himself (super dragon ball heroes anime showed this well with gogeta vs hearts), because of the uncertainty when he’ll be needed again and they know they’re fusions with each saying along the lines of “we are they, they are one.” Proving that yes the fusion share memories and know goku and vegeta strangely enough. It’s a big part of why fusions are the most popular thing in all dragon ball media ever because it shows us different ways how characters interact, like the ever debated topic of a permanent vegito or gogeta how would the world react to basically 6 versions of the same character (goku, vegeta, gogeta and vegito), like would the world be unbalanced? Would it function as normal? Or would the G.O.D try to erase them to not have this problem? All very interesting theories that fusion brings up.

@@idc.gohann101 he tried to purify him with the soul punisher/stardust breaker, but after he realized he’s actually good he knew he could tank the kamehameha and survive Gogeta never tries to kill his opponents unless it’s absolutely necessary.

I recently watched Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z (japanese) and i agree with Jordan the dragonlee. Dragon Ball has depth, morals, values and Akira toriyama chooses to use comedy and martial arts to portray his messages to his audience.

Vegito is a perfect blending of Goku and Kakarot/Goku- with the clothing being both Goku/Vegeta yet its own thing. The hair/body being Goku and Vegeta yet distinctive. And finally the personality being Goku/Vegeta yet unique in equation. Combining their fighting styles yet creating something unique. Combining to create something new. Merged Zamasu is a bastardization of the concept by combining with himself under the guise of another individual, but it only enhances his ego and his new divine powers immediately break apart in the face of resistance as his contradictions literally manifest themselves physically excueted in different ways.

For me, Vegito has a different personality from either Goku (ENFP) or Vegeta (ISTJ)... Thus, most likely Vegito's personality is ESTP.
