I’m 42 and the dukes came on at tea time on a Saturday. ( Nottingham England ) Followed by knight rider and one you may not know street hawk and then after it was air wolf. Saturday nights when I was a kid were awesome. The kids of today have no idea how good we had it. Not just for tv but lifestyle.

Thanks for showing us the locations of the iconic scenes that made up the introduction to DOH. I use to spend whole summers in Okinawa in the early 80's and was starving to watch anything in English. The US military had 1 armed forces tv channel and I would watch the Dukes of Hazard every chance I got so it was a show that meant alot to me. Your wife posing as Daisy in shorts n boots at key locations was a nice touch. Great video Chris!

This show was a huge part of my childhood. It's so interesting to see how these locations have changed over the years. One interesting side note that alot of people may not know about the hood slide Luke did is he actually did not intend to slide across like that. If you watch in slow motion or pause it at the right time you can see his right foot clip the fender literally forcing him into the slide. At least thats how Tom Wopat himself described it. 😊 Anyway nice video.

The first 5 episodes would have been filmed in Georgia. The rest after that was filmed in California. The Georgia filming locations was in Covington and Conyers, Ga. The greedy bastards in Hollywood had to have it, so it went to California. In the first 5 episodes you can see the difference between them and the later films in California. California can never compare to Georgia’s country side! I’m a Georgia boy and love the Dukes!! Just wish the damn liberals would leave it and the car alone, put it back on TV!!!
@desertrattler75896 жыл бұрын
ok that maybe true. I just remember as a kid seeing the filming in California many times. California is a GREAT state. ITS THE PEOPLE, AKA LIBERALS that make it a bad state. Kick the liberals out. Destroy their laws, drop land prices to reasonable and I would move back. Climate and soil are great.

Damn shame they don't make shows like this anymore - the world was a better place back when families would sit around the television watching good family oriented programming like this. Today's world; is sadly, a mirror image reflection of the crime and hatred that has engulfed the video games and television of today. _The Dukes of Hazzard - Little House on the Prairie - Quincy - Trapper John MD - Starsky and Hutch - Barnaby Jones - The Rockford Files - DALLAS - Three's Company - The Incredible Hulk - Kung Fu - The Bionic Man / Woman / Wonder Woman - Charlie's Angels._ *Yep, I remember them all.*

Thank you so much for sharing the experience with all of us Dukes of Hazzard fans. Wow awesome video! My wife and I did this a couple years later but we wasn’t able to find all the locations. We did find the original Boars Nest as it was top of the list. It was amazing to me how the building and the location looks so much bigger on the tv screen and it was still a church at the time. If I could I’d buy the building I’d restore it to the original Boars Nest and make it a museum! It’s heartbreaking to see uncle Jessie’s house is gone 😞 thanks again for the great work!

Very well done video. One could argue that what they did later on with how the show was produced later on contributed to its successes. However, when the show was made on location in Georgia, it had much more authenticity and realism. I also wonder if the Roscoe character could have been that great less cartoonish and may have become the guy you might not have liked for going after the Dukes the way he did, but you would find yourself rooting for him in a number of instances.
