As a former tech support agent.. I can confirm.. asking for the manager is not in your best interest.. that is when we get little bursts of happiness 😊. Because they will tell you the same thing we just told you. They may say it slower, they may phrase it differently.. but it's the same rule that you and everyone else has to follow. You are not special.. at least not in the way you think. Especially!! When you are rude to the initial employee.. then the manager makes it their mission to make sure you don't get the thing you want that we aren't allowed to do. When masks were enforced nobody was coughing. Coworkers weren't sick. We work in a crowded store face to face with people... Now that masks are gone.....everybody is passing around covid. One coworker ended up in the hospital. Last year I decided not to wear it..... i got covid and got sick. My lips turned purple... So yes, I wear it RELIGIOUSLY. I can't afford to use up all my PTO for covid, nor the hospital/dr bills.... I honestly hated seeing people in my store without masks when they were enforced. It's like these people haven't gone through losing a friend or family from Covid. My cousin died and left behind a newborn and 5 year old... Got covid, died a week later. No underlying health issues. It's terrifying.

You just have to wear it when going in public where there are people. There are asymptomatic patients, like me. My entire family almost died while I was perfectly fine. The thought of losing them made me cry almost every day for months. My mom is still struggling to recover. My grandma passed away on the 25th of March this year. She had a cancerous tumor behind her thyroid and ultimately died of starvation. She looked like a corpse. She had to deal with COVID and chemo therapy. She was 77. These people are monstrous and pathetic, not realising what they are doing or living in ignorance.

I think that there actually were some cases in the US in very late 2019, but since this virus was something we hadn't seen before (and presumably weren't testing for at the time) they didn't get recorded as such. My mother is a nurse in NC, and she told me that people started coming in with covid symptoms as early as November. I believe she caught it herself; she was out of work for two weeks at the end of December and beginning of January with what we thought was a bad respiratory infection, but when she got tested just before March was told that it was definitely covid. Idk how they could've determined that so much later though, as I have no idea how long the virus stays in your system after symptoms subside
