Really glad Derrick is doing well after what happened and that the damage wasn't worse than what it is. I did want to say in regards to people saying their favorite concerts from the year, I find this useful as artists sometimes fall off and hearing from others about the quality of live shows can save people time and money from seeing them. Also on the flip side, artists that have fallen off sometimes make strong comebacks and it's nice to get a heads up that they're worth going see live again. This was a great first podcast of the year! Can't wait to see what 2025 holds in store for you guys!

Constructive Criticism for podcasts in the New Year: Would it be possible for you guys to run your podcast audio through Levelator (or another dynamic range compressor) before uploading to YT? Maybe this is just a me-thing, but the podcast microphones have a high dynamic range, making the quiet parts REALLY quiet. When I listen to these pods on the drive home from work, they can be difficult to hear without constantly adjusting my volume. Not a huge deal, but wanted to throw that out there.

The criticism joker 2 tries to do with joker to me falls flat like the idea is there and interesting but it never feels realized and the turning point for arthur kinda feels contrived from my memory. The musical aspect was what got me interested but they didnt even do anything interesting with the set or songs they dont move the movie or characters. Like youre doing a musical thats like perfect fodder to do like interesting visuals that can tie with the characters arc etc but its just them singing in place.

Derrick, let the medical bills be the last thing you worry about. I literally have never paid a medical bill (I've had many) and let them go to collections. Once they get to collections, I send them a $5 check every month. They eventually get tired of dealing with it and drop the bill. If they sue, as long as you've been paying something, there's nothing that can be done to you.
