Man Duf you sure made it look easy. Id like to let the general public know that you can do essentially the same thing without any zip ties, with careful manipulation of the tire and tube by hand. Generally that's how I've put on 2 euc tires before. Super informative video nonetheless and I'm sure many people will find this method quite useful. Thanks for sharing

Yea you don't have to use zip ties but the couple minutes it takes to put them on makes it even easier IMO.

It’s a literally a 20min job from the wheel is dismounted until the new tire is mounted - that’s what I did when I replaced the stock tire on my Master V4 with a 244. First time I’ve tried it. I used one of your YT videos for inspiration Duf 👍😊

Yep tire work on a Master is very convenient.

Right on man I feel the same way zip ties the way to go. Some guy tried to tell me that it wouldn’t work for tube tires. Some people will never try it I guess just won’t know.

It works great. If you look at the various tire mounting videos I have done over the years it was always a huge pain in the ass. This makes it a piece of cake. I think some people feel that using zip ties takes a lot of time when in truth it adds maybe 5 minutes while saving you a ton of frustration as well as keeping your tube safe.

Yes, the zip tie method is quick & easy, ensuring no damage to the tube!

Exactly. I wish I knew about this a long time ago.

There were issues with the tubes ripping at the valve. Some people think it’s from the tires slipping around the wheel and shearing the valves. Won’t the bullsnot stuff make that more likely? I may have old info, so correct me if I’m wrong. Either way, thanks for the video.

No the Bullsnot is applied to the outside of the tire! I am very familiar with tubes ripping at the valve, look at my videos from October

I think you have it right, he makes the tire all slick sided on the outside. Then at some point under lower pressure, the rim spins inside the tire under acceleration or braking and rips off the stem. He's never made that connection yet.

Have you ever thought of going tubeless? Is there a benefit to keeping a tube?
@Duf16 күн бұрын
Yes I had a tubeless tire on this wheel but had issues getting it seated evenly. Tubeless is better IMO

Extra slippery lol wouldnt that shear valve off?
@Duf14 күн бұрын
No, it is applied to the outside, not inside

lol doing it with the easiest tire in existance. try that with a K66 90/90. you can mount the kenda nobby just with your hands

Used the same technique with Pilot Street 2, no tools needed, definitely not an easy tire to mount. But thanks for your feedback!
