my cousin plays apex like once every couple of months he is level 34 only now. couple of days ago i just found out while spectating him that he has the bloodhound heirloom. i went crazy he said he got the shards long time ago and bought the bloodhound axe because he only plays him and he thought it was a normal thing to get these shards and buy a weapon for the legends and had no idea how lucky he was.

Yeah it's not scaling or linear so it really is odds per each individual pack, regardless of how many you open.

Pro tip: Buy up all the super low cost shit. As much as you can. Instead of a 1200 coin skin buy up all the white and blue skins for guns and characters. The more you have the less likely the game is to reward you with shitty packs cuz u already have all the shitty items

@@brianwilliamson7059 this actually doesn't work because even if you do own all the blue and white skins, it will still give you them in packs but instead it will give the the item in crafting metals because you already own the item. It won't boost your chance of getting a heirloom

That would be impossible as it's hard coded in. Either you've miscalculated or your account is bugged. It does happen but very rare and in those cases EA will validate and give an heirloom if that's the case

@@randomaussie3905 The point above Is regards to opening 500 packs, because there is a hard coded unlucky guarantee at 499, which gives you an heirloom at 500. In your case 200 packs doesn't guarantee an heirloom, it's just luck really for you until you reach 500 packs. Those level 9s just got lucky. Unfortunately there's not much more to it. It's just about luck sometimes. Hope that helps give some clarity 😀

0.2% chance in every pack and also a guarantee at 500 packs. So essentially you need to earn as many packs as possible and either get lucky in a pack or aim to open 500 packs to get them gauranteed.

I'm correct from an in game perspecive. If you check the Apex EA website you'll see there is a level 500 cap. It's also common knowledge among anyone that knows anything about Apex. For the purposes of packs that's relevant. For legend tokens you keep earning legend tokens. Websites like apex tracker do keep track of when you keep hitting max xp for the max level.

@@lotgiga8 The odds aren't 1/500 though because it's not progressive through to 500 packs. 500 packs is just the unlucky guarantee. The odds per pack is a set variable in the algorithm.
