This is EXACTLY what I was looking to do, thanks for the ideas!

Nice job. Like the shirt. If you wanted to you could rig up some kind of drainage for that into that black corrugated pipe.

Do you have to turn off the 1st faucet prior to winter to keep the pex from bursting when it drops below freezing?

I disconnect the pex tube from the hose bib at the house in winter and shut the water off in the basement to that hose bib.

Great stuff. I have leftover pex from an irrigation project too.

With this setup do you need to turn off the water at the original spigot for the winter, or will the pex tubing be alright through the winter?
@DieselLegiance5 ай бұрын
Yes, I would. You don’t want the original spigot to freeze up and crack.

@@DieselLegiance With the deck built on top without an access panel, how do you plan to do that?
@DieselLegiance5 ай бұрын
I cut an access block into my deck. If you don’t, you will still allow water to be outside the (warm) home to freeze and then you could technically damage both spigots.

Sooo... The main spigot has to be left on right? And the new one extended from it acts as the new turn on and off? Also, does the new one use pressure or something when turn off to keep the water from actually being on regardless of the main turn on?

Can you use a normal nose attached to a faccet splitter? Whoever deceded to put the faucets on my house did not think about practicality
