Twist and go is definitely mega, it gets my vote every time, especially for very hilly places, such as where I live. The Maxima looks really substantial and comfortable. Like their ethos on honest range too. Nice one Eilis. I enjoyed it. Just a sec-MG scarf??? Goodness! Love the Navigata though, easier to move about with. Just a thought, can you get any info on how long a 250W motor is likely to last? I have heard that they don't last too long. Couple of years, or 3? Similarly, battery life. I would appreciate your opinion or vid on that. Replacing either would defo be an arm and a leg, if available at all as spares.

I am 110kg, and well beyond my youth, so this looks like a promising possibility. I have seen other bikes (all Chinese) which would do pretty much what this can do (apart from the legal throttle, although some have illegal throttles). On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to pick a bike up from the manufacturer and just drive it away in the boot of my car. Two biggest issues are the torque limit of 55nm (which you did yourself allude to) which may not be enough to carry 110kg of me up an 8% incline; and that it is a chunky piece of kit and how easy would it be to lift 37kg of metal into and out of the boot of my car. The other issue is the question of whether a torque sensor would be preferable to a cadence sensor (many of the Chinese competition does have a torque sensor).

A couple of notes as I watch this: -- In my younger days a bike this heavy would have been just fine for me to use on transit. One thing that comes with being a bit bigger is that the bike is not that much compared to what I weigh. -- You really should have reflective strips on the back of your jacket. You want to connect the dots between the helmet and the bike's lights. -- Consulting a unit conversion 40MPH works out to 64KPH. I used to routinely do that speed on flat ground and a lot more on a down hill. A good helmet is not reserved for e-bikes. These days I make about 1/2 that speed.

11:47 that just means they’ve restricted the bike down so much and there is a lot of headroom left that you don’t get the power sag at the end of the battery. Alternatively they could’ve put the voltage low point up higher in an effort to preserve the life of the battery, so 0% on the screen on some bikes is actually 15-20% remaining.

It is interesting to see EU regulations evolve (very slowly obviously). The 250-watt limit was always silly, though I think the speed limit of 25 kph/15.5 mph limit for assist is reasonable since it is still faster than a Tesla Plaid around most towns while nobody wants cycles to require driving licenses.

What are newton meters of torque and amp hours
@ElectroheadsАй бұрын
Newton metres of torque is how much 'oomph' comes out of the motor. The more Nm, the more energy and therefore power it can push out to give YOU a good push. Amp hours is a unit of measurement that indicates how much charge a battery can hold or how long it can supply a certain amount of current. The bigger the Amp hour, the more range 🙂
