He's right, calling that a unicorn. BMW made 1087 6-speed M5s over the 5 production years of the E-60. Finding one with wood trim, instead of aluminum is even more difficult. Definitely on my bucket list!

I drove a friends 7spd M5 and it was hilariously fun. Wierd being in a bigger sedan keeping up with a 911 GT3. The GT3 is quicker accelerating off the line being so light. Up top you cant beat 500hp of V10 so it catches quickly. I am convinced that these cars are the best luxury performance bargain. 500hp V10 for

Current owners actually say its very reliable if you think about what you get a 5 door performance saloon with a 5.0 V10. in the perspective value for money and what you get with this car is hard to beat

Other than the owner fucking up by having a shiny red interior with wood trim on a grey/silver car, that car is awesome. When M made the e9x M3, they took this engine and shopped 2 cylinders off, which is basically why that V8 revs so high. The sound this car makes is epic!

Manual gearbox is awesome! yes, it is a bit slower than SMG but its truly amazing to switch gears because you have the control of the engine. I also can add, it has less problems then SMG, more reliable. Pretty rare find an 6spd but they are out there. Amazing machine overall.

this is one of my favorite cars! it is next on my list! it does have quite alot of wear for 10000kms, especially on the bolsters, and the engine does show alot of wear for fairly low miles. but great review!

I have a 2007 bmw m5 and my car is been great to me. I own it for 6 month now and no issues what so ever is been very reliable. My have the SMG trasmission and i have no issues. Love my car and it is a monster. Another car which i think is great would be the audi R8 another monster.

To be 100% honest with you, I have a neighbor with this car, a 911 GT3, Huracan, Ferrari 360, and a GTR, and this is the only one I hear roaring through the neighborhood, the engine is so loud, and yes, he drives them all.

We couldn't get the M5 manual in the UK. Not sure about the rest of europe . The one thing that car was crying out for was a manual gearbox. Iv'e driven a UK one , and even though the paddles are good, when you switched the setting right up for how savage you want the gearchange to be and the fastest shift speed, it honestly felt like it was going to break something. Wicked fast though.

My favorite combo. Silver over red. The sport seats were an option. Btw do you have a black eye?!??? Jealous you Canadians don't have ugly amber front reflectors. I would do wheel spacers and a slight drop like Eibach. That dealer logo on the trunk can be easily removed with a hair dryer. Takes 2 seconds... clean up the rest with goo gone

These cars now days are the best bang for the buck.... for $20 and under your driving a 500hp sedan ya they are expensive to maintain but hey that's the price you pay to drive a car like this, in town the smg is very jerky but on the hwy or open road this car is an Animal they were built to run on hwys with no speed limits hear in Bc where the hell or you supposed to open this thing up go over 130kms an hour and it will get impounded ...
