It's all about attitude, he puts out social media posts that claim he cares but then whenever you watch him on the pitch, he looks constantly miserable and refuses to do any work off the ball. So what he is claiming and what he is showing are not lining up at all. It tells me he is trying to quieten the questions and criticism through false feelings, that on top of his off the pitch antics aren't a good look and on the surface his attitude and mentality are all wrong and not good enough. There has been constant problems with leaks and player power at Man U for years under every manager, I wouldn't be surprised if he is apart of that because he has been Mr. Man U and untouchable. I don't think he'll revive his career from here because he himself and only him can accept and recognise that he needs to change and I'm not sure he is willing to.

Rashford has now seen 8 different managers at Utd, if you include Carrick, Rangnick and RVN. Such a shame to see such a talent go to waste but that's a problem that only he can fix, and right now it looks like he has absolutely no motivation to do anything other than what he's done for the last few seasons, and collect £300k at the end of every week. I do feel, the players who got the nod for the derby is the best "team" of players in terms of players Amorim trusts or work in the system. Probably it will swap around a bit if the opposition is weaker, with Maz as RB, Amad at RWB and maybe Mainoo there too, but that is not the important part. Rashford and Garnacho didn't get in the team over Lindelof (with Yoro there), Eriksen or Antony despite facing a team that you would think there is a higher chance you need to chase the game. Not starting is not unexpected given how poor they both are lately, but not even on the bench means there is not a trust there. Game changers like them, not playing is tactical, not in the match squad is always something a bit more. I think the problem with Rashford is that he seem to be unwilling to change his game to fit the role. I feel, if is a matter of him being just not good enough for the system, he would at least find a spot on the bench; is not like we needed 3 CM on the bench against City. Rene Hake did an interview saying how that there are players who does not want their game to change (but said it more nicely), I can't help but think he was talking about Rashford. Amorim is a smart man, he would had studied all his players' past closely, and he will see there is very little change in how he played 5 years ago. I definitely feel, every game before City was an audition for the players to stake a claim in his plans as everyone seem to get a chance, some in multiple positions. There is a feeling that audition has now closed.

There have been 2 players in the last 20 years who could have gotten away with what Rashy, Garnacho, Lingard, Pogba, etc. have all tried (and gotten away with) at United: 2010-18 Messi and 2008-2015 Ronaldo. That's it, those 2 players were the only ones that I've seen who've been good enough to warrant changes in regime at the club if they wanted it. United were ready to let Rooney go, Liverpool should have been ready to let Gerard go (if they wanted to) despite both of them being club legends. And that's how it should be. Like Pep himself said, the only player who's individual quality he valued over his system was Messi. The only player Mourinho relaxed a bit on his defensive demands was Ronaldo. They're special talents. The United players I mentioned are good, but they're nowhere near that level. It's high time United got a manager that actually has the balls to tell that to their face and that they can leave if they think they're too good to put in the effort when you're losing 3-2 to Forest. The worst part about the Glazers is that they believed football ownership was just getting in as many marquee names as you can for however amount of money is required and neglect literally every other aspect of the club. That's let those marquee players think they run things, can demand transfers, change managers and do basically everything. Glad to see Amorim and INEOS aren't having any of it.

Bloke has had so many chances. Every season its "how can united unlock Rashford?" and where can we fit him in to get the best out of him etc etc. He's everyone else's problem. He's on 350k PER WEEK and walks around the pitch like he can't be bothered and its driving fans insane. He then acts like the victim and complains about criticism when he plays in a team alongside the likes of Maguire and Antony who get some of the most unwarranted and malicious abuse ive seen players receive. He's Dele Ali 2.0, he's got an attitude and discipline problem and i'd be happy to see him go. A new manager has noticed this in barely a month. Garnacho is different because he's much younger and seems to be trying harder on the pitch, I hope he comes back stronger.

Rashford needs to go. We need consistency not moments and Rashford has had good moments in a United shirt but he’s never been consistent. More than that selling Rashford is a symbol that the culture is changing at United player power is on its way out

I know it was coming People forget Amorin was a intern for Mourinho at United and during that time, Rashford also had attitude issues As a United fan, we cant depend on someone who only gives world-class performances when he is up for a contract renewal Fergie got rid of so many academy-players once they were done at the club. Its time for Amorin to do the same with Rashford

Rashford is incredibly hard to sell on a neutral basis. Garnacho will likely be sold in January to give them some breathing room in terms of PSR room for this year.

I don’t want to see him go and I feel like there’s a little bit too much ill will towards him, players have kinda lost their mojo before, looking at deli alli and Jesse lindgard as of recent. It turned out to be a lot of off the field stuff that just stopped them from being in the headspace to play the game they used to love. If you play football yourself you know sometimes if off the field stuff is bothering you it’s hard to perform, now imagine you’re playing in the prem and football is your job and not just a hobby. Fair enough it’s everyone’s dream growing up but still, it’s not easy. I hope rashford finds his footing and his form again, and if he doesn’t I hope he can leave the club on good terms and people respect what he’s done. Same amount of prem goals as hazard and torres but in less games and as a younger player in probably worse teams. That’s impressive

Even as a rival fan I love Rashford but it's very hard to defend him at the moment. He's clearly very talented but his impact on games is pathetic. I think he's United's best player so there's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be able to hold down a place in the team if he actually gets his act together. He's 27 years old though so I don't really see that happening which is a shame.

If mam utd lost, united would have blamed almorin. The situation here is the same with sancho, only differences is that united lost last time and sancho embarrassed the manager.

I think its for the greater good for both parties if Rashford leaves. He's capable of being a ballon'dor player and maybe a switch of environment can ignite him again. Funny though, I see him working well under Arteta or a move to Europe.

I don’t believe it’s over. I trust rashford and believe in him to turn it around. I also don’t want rashford to leave in this way, he broke his body playing for us. He deserves more respect and it’s a shame he’ll only get that when he’s gone.

The "tip-toeing" and constant apologising around Rashford's terrible attitude and lack of results is truly remarkable. He's entirely undeserving of any good will at this point.

These kind of players need to be reminded that they will be over in a couple of years. Players will be over and gone at 34-35 years old. There's no way back once they reached that old. This is where a father figure is useful and they have lost one. Not all player developed well and can be independent or real professional.
@gilbertpeck65206 күн бұрын
do you think Amorim could be protecting rashford / garnacho by removing them, due to the recently overwhelming online narrative re rashford being sold / garnacho leaking.

Man United creating a new type of player. Not injury prone, plays a lot of games, super inconsistent, indecisive, shows no willingness THEN GETS REWARDED BY HIGH WAGES AND THE FACE OF THE TEAM 😂😂😂 Rashford is the reflection of Uniteds mismanagement.

The issue is these lads are as thick as mince, so once they can’t run their way out of the match’s problems, they don’t have any game insight. They just don’t develop smart players, just quick players.

Homegrown at club, 3 years between 15th and 21st birthday. Sellability and contract pivot on that. Until there's more youth players of at least his quality, he stays and picks conditions. I'm sorry to have to state that, but he knows that. There won't be a serious debate about him within the club, however much the fans wish it to be.
@reddish86925 күн бұрын
What quality? 😂 Rashford has no leverage. We've seen with what Chelsea has done with a few of their players that anyone can be kicked out. Considering he's homegrown, any transfer fee would be recorded as a profit for Man United.
@needfoolthings5 күн бұрын
@reddish8692 Look up registration rules for Premier League and Champions League. And THEN name me 8 players at ManU that have been homegrown between their 15th and 21st birthdays in England - eight, no more, no less. OR name 3 players trained AT THE CLUB at that age that are better than Rashford. Go on, you fan, you.
@reddish86924 күн бұрын
@@needfoolthings you're typing a lot for rubbish. I don't need to read anything. Rashford's end product means he is easy to replace. By a random homegrown player earning a fraction his wages. 👋
@marktodd73976 күн бұрын
Biggest elephant in the room is that Rashford is on £300K + per week. Who is going to pay those wages?
@CoconutJewce4 күн бұрын
He's getting paid around what Salah, KDB, and Van Dijk are paid but provides less output than Wissa and can't be asked to put in any effort. His one, maybe two, good seasons over 9 years isn't enough to justify that wage or him even being in the squad based on what he's shown on the pitch in the last two years. The sooner he's gone, the better. No more Celebrity FC or Player Power FC. United needs a proper culture reset and Amorim/Ineos seem willing to actually do it. Wish him the best but good riddance. Let it be a stark warning to everyone else in the squad.

My question would be: is his drinking / all-nighters the cause or the effect of his disappointing performances? He's got pace, but low stamina. Is the latter caused by poor motivation or diet / lifestyle choices. You want players to be married, so they're in bed nice & early, with a stable home life. He's walked away from a fiancee...
