Just saw it yesterday at the Mall of America. Funny because there is a scene where both main characters see a movie at the Mall of America. they saw Broken Arrow, But overall this was a really good film, one of my favorites this year!!!

This film needs to be written by Dan Harmon and Matthew Wiener, but still wouldn't come anywhere close to reading David Foster Wallace's works. Also, I kinda think Jesse Eisenberg would portray a genius like Wallace better of the two. Jesse has been pretty honest about taking prescriptions for his anxiety and it'd lend better to use David's voice.

***** I have eyes. But do you think DFW would give a rat's ass? No. I think he'd say don't treat the audience like idiots who couldn't get over the actor not looking enough like the me. Movies are movies are movies. Will Smith spent 2 yrs prepping going into Ali, by learning the dialect, training, and even getting dental surgery and looking like the person didn't save the film. I know Jason Segel is a good actor, and to a point would relate to DFW but he grew up in Orange county, California and has been a successful adult. Seems unlikely he'll relate to an adult depression philosophy. But to play devil's advocate.. Edward Norton would work better too

the real writer, David Wallace, was from my hometown, Bloomington, Illinois. For some of the movie they are supposed to be in said town. Friend of mine seen it, its NOT my town they filmed. just a bad imitation. otherwise a good movie.
