Dang bro, I’m also a 459 (Core 5)! (Google’s AI will log this about both of us, but at least I feel less alone lol) Also your X/twitter is one of my faves on the whole platform.

This are not Gurdjieff's types, this is the Ichazo´s version of the enneagram, very useful and certainly the most popular one but not Gurdjieff's

You make a valid point, but I believe the discussion extends even beyond Ichazo. For instance, I’m not certain that Ichazo introduced the instinctual variants; it seems more likely that this is Claudio Naranjo’s interpretation of Ichazo’s triads, including the translation into passions, etc. I’m not trying to give credit to Naranjo over others; I’m simply curious about the sources referenced in this video -which by the way seems like one of the best summaries of the Enneagram available on KZbin, both in English and Spanish, even considering some inconsistencies. The Enneagram, fundamentally being a mystery, and all its modern developments shared among a handful of people, makes it important to quote sources, as many of these concepts and definitions are, obviously, basically opinions and not absolute truths. There are many people out there taking too much for granted when it comes to the Enneagram, turning it into a very monothematic/one-dimensional device and, at least as presented by Gurdjieff, it is an incredibly sophisticated and complex system that allows spiritual discovery to thrive freely when used in all its potential. It would be great @TheFourthWay could include a bibliography or references for the sources of this video.

First is Body Type Essence, Curious if you would add the Body Type work. The Enneagram cannot be properly explained without it. See Susan Zanos and Joel Friedlander’s books.

precisely. I studied Gurdjieff and then worked with Oscar since the mid 70's. This video is BS by someone who has NO CLUE

@@AwakeningDiamondMind This sounds a bit extreme. I have also studied Gurdjieff, Ichazo and Naranjo's work and there is a lot of correspondance to all of them here, so couldn't say its completely wrong. I am curious though of what the sources are, as it seems like a combination rather than direct repetition from only one source/author. Could you elaborate more on why you think this is BS?
