My favorite Soulslike game not made by FromSoft still has to be Code Vein. Absolutely love Remnant 2 and Lies of P, but anime souls really vibed with me.

Same I'm ngl it was code vein that actually got me in the genre in the first place since I never had much interest in souls games knowing that they're mostly known for being hard but then I beat code vein right around the time elden ring was released with all that hype around it and elden ring solidified my love for the genre now I've beat dark souls 3 and lies of p and want to tackle the other 2 souls games and sekiro

I’m obsessed with Lies of P. It’s so good. Like all souls games it’s not perfect but it’s amazing to play. I have over 150 hours in a game that takes 30 hours to complete the first play through and around 10-14 on subsequent play throughs. It’s just so good

Will always be thankful for Jedi Fallen Order to get me into Souls games. Was always fishy with them. (Didn’t have a great experience with DS3) but god dammit, the moment and Star Wars Soulslike came out, I had to try it. Will always be thankful to that.

If you praise Remnant 2 you get a like from me! Where Lies of P builds on the foundation to create the best "Fromsoft souls-like," Remnant says, "hey what if we put mindbreaking puzzles, looter shooter elements, actual classes and infinite replayability into this concept?" and I love it so much for that. It also throws out a lot of concepts you'd expect in a souls-like that don't actually make sense when you think about them for a few seconds. Obtuse co-op? Get rid of it. Dropping souls on death? Who needs it. Long boss runs? Just put a bonfire in front of every fight. Game too hard? Here's an easy mode, plus two difficulties above what you'd usually expect, for your enjoyment plus extra drops.

Obtuse coop it's just a summon system how is that obtuse. Boss runs are apart of gaming. Dropping souls on death is a fundamental part of the genre its a risk/ reward thing. Your saying remnant 2 isn't a souls like because it fails on a major core foundation

While soulslike is cool, I think it's starting to become overused now. I would love to see more hack and slash games again for a change of pace.

I don't want souls likes to go away, I just want them to be better. Lies of P set the standard for any non-FromSoft souls-like. Anything that can't reach that level is probably not getting played. I certainly don't want us to go back to pumping out "press X to win" DMC games though

not gonna lie, I kinda hate remnant 2. I cant fuck with the vibes, and the game play wasnt exactly an up for me. Lies of P is the best soulslike Fromsoft hasnt made, Im dyring on that hill lets see what that italian soulslike thats coming out at the same time as the Elden Ring DLC has to offer

Never been a fan of souls games. They don’t feel fun. And I personally don’t find any enjoyment in overcoming and nerve wracking challenge. Just wish we would go back to old hack and slash games. Not everybody wanna be souls like because it makes money

Mate the problem with the guys argument for me is the guy up there is complaining saying "i wish we would just go back to old hack and slash" its clear the guy is not looking hard enough or at all for those games he wants, since you can most definitely find hack and slashes from indie companies, id say everyone below him has a right to say something because he is looking for a reason to complain and not trying to actually fix his issue ​@@thediabolicalraisin8953

They bashed a guys head in with a hammer more then 20 × untill he had brain damage,then made him the creative directer? (this is the 1st thing i thought of when tapping on the video.) (i played let it die 1st/actuelly assasins creed unity and died probbally litterly more then 1000 × times trying to kill people/level 5 gold gaurds vs me with alost full stuff(you need 11 heath things vs 8 people and 12 smoke bombs to steal after you killed 1),with the blunt level 1 saber.). Beware of the 6((( ))), oni,but they arent big and dont have magic(unless you want play it in real life,dont attack some1 that says 88 or ((( ))),theyre a social dark souls boss, "its bad like sifiliss,belive me,I. KNOW."nikoli belenski repersents me for how bad fighting self obsorbed lunitics.).
