A couple months ago someone on Instagram posted the scene of Marge telling Nancy about them killing Freddy the interesting part was when the movie was put out the scene was shortened, but the post on Instagram showed it as it was meant to be Marge told Nancy that she Tina Glenn and Rod all had a brother or sister once and that Freddy had killed them.

I think a movie is more scary when you can relate to it or it is more realistic and it could happen to you. Like for example It is extremely scary but getting attacked by a clown is unlikely because you hardly see them. Nightmare on Elm St. was not that scary for me because of the claw hands. Sure their lethal and all but they are just not as intimidating. A machete in Friday the 13th or even the knife in Scream is a more scarier weapon to me. Sure their is a lot of gore on Elm Street but not nearly as much as in Jigsaw. Also his clothing is not scary. The Scream, Friday the 13th, Michael Myers, Jigsaw, It, and many others have just sacrier costumes. The first "horror movie" I decided to watched was pirahina and I really enjoyed it so I continued to watch horror movies ever since. Freddy is just not as realistic as like The Strangers. In the Strangers it is just someone breaking into your house and then playing a game which is more scary in my opinion.

Nope. Wes Cravens New Nightmare takes place in a completely separate reality than the other films altogether. However Freddy VS Jason would still take place later than New Nightmare because one is clearly set in the early nineties while the other is in the early 2000s. That makes it impossible for New Nightmare to take place after Freddy VS Jason.

In Nightmare 5: The Dream Child, Freddy wasn't turned into a baby, he was imprisoned within/by the soul of his mother. That shot of the baby from the movie is where the future soul of Alice's baby Jacob turns into a newborn after defeating Freddy and Alice picks up the baby, puts it to her belly, and takes back in her baby's soul while Freddy's glove pops out of his own mother's belly trying to escape as she walks away trying to keep him from escaping once more. C'mon Looper, get your mythology right. 🙄

In Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child Freddy is NOT turned into an adorable baby, it's 'older Jacob' that becomes the adorable baby and then 'absorbed' into Alice. Freddy turns into a creepy baby ,picked up by Amanda Krueger which is when he is 'absorbed' into her then the blades come out as the door slams and explodes repeatedly.

I used to think this was so scary when I was little. I remember being about 5-6 and seeing Tina walking in the body bag in the hall and that really stuck with me. I’ve seen the entire series multiple times. Once in 4th grade I was camping and had a nightmare involving Freddy. I can’t recall exactly what the dream was, but I remember waking from it then getting that feeling of relief once I realized it was just a dream. And now at 39 it’s kinda cheesy! Still good, but more cheese than scare.

I was traumatized when I saw NOES 3 in elementary. I couldnt sleep for days and had to watch a video of Robert England telling kids that it’s just a movie and not real life lmao. I really enjoyed the Freddy films because they actually had a mythology that made the character interesting. But with each movie they started changing it up a little and then devising new ways to kill him based on that ever-changing mythology. Because of this they concentrated Less on the killing. As the movies drew on whenever they did kill someone their death became too gimmicky.
