*Since most wont even watch the video but go directly to the comments, let me just say that racism should be kicked out of any sport but if we're fighting racism, then this isn't it* Crying out wolf every time doesn't make a difference. @@TheSportsZection you’re still missing the point. This is not about crying wolf. Again I dare you to suggest the same when it comes to anti-Semitism. You made a comment asking why the black French players are offended and suggesting they aren’t proud of where they come from. The whole French team including white players have dual nationalities. Griezman, Rabiot, Zidane (in the past) but no songs about them? Most of these players were born in France and know very little about the countries their parents come from. If these players were white there would be no song… Sounds like a racist chant to me no matter how you try to sugarcoat it.

Racism doesn’t just need to be “I don’t like people of X origin”. It can come in more discreet forms. The chants imply that France’s players of African descent (most of whom were ironically born in France) are less French because they have African origins. Notice how other players’ ethnicities - eg. Griezmann who has Portuguese roots - are not sung about. It’s just the French players who have African roots which are called out. The song basically alludes to them being less French because they’re black. And for those people saying “it’s factual” - yes, it is a fact, but it does not negate the undertone behind the chant. Does it therefore make it okay for French players to sing songs about how some Argentines are descendants of Nazis, since this is also a fact?

@thesportsZection let me explain why the song is racist. 1. Why have we never heard any songs of players from other European countries playing for another European country? For example Jorginho is Brazilian, he plays for Italy. Yet never a song about that even though Argentina and Brazil are the biggest rivals. Why is the focus on the black players? 2. You right said, they just won the Copa America.. why song about France? 3. Let’s change the words of this song and replace it with Jews playing for countries other than Isreal… would you say it’s not anti-Semitic? I would like to see you say the same in this regard if you dare. 4. The country in question has not a single black player… plus has a questionable history when it comes to blacks and why you hardly ever see black Argentinians. I don’t think Enzo is a racist, but this chant is definitely racist. Please respond with your thoughts to counter my argument if you are truly convinced it’s not racism.

1. That wouldn't be considered racist either. 2. No clue 3. Why are you mixing race and religion? Christians aren't allowed to play in other countries? That point just doesn't make a lot of sense. 4. Like the post said, it's not a Disney movie. Why doesn't the Jamaican track team have white sprinters? Being offended does not make it racist.
@fa52345 ай бұрын
@@TheSportsZection He's not mixing race with religion since you cannot be jewish by choice ! (Yes those converts exist but they are not considered jews or even get an israeli passport) unlike religions like christianity or Islam you can only be jewish if you mother is! I’m not sure I get your point unfortunately. What does the ability of black Jamaican sprinters have to do with racist chants. Again let’s not shift the topic, else it becomes a pointless discussion.
