I have a Moza experience to share as a customer. My dumbass somehow managed to damage the pins inside the wheel QR. I sent them an email explaining my problem and asked for a repair job if possible. In about a week they shipped a replacement pin plate FREE OF CHARGE not a question asked. Only thing they wanted was a proof of wheel purchase and photo of the damage. Really impressed.

As a PS5 and PC user, I've just purchased a Logi G Pro wheel and pedal set. The lack of an eco-system atm is super-frustrating...they've had a LOT of time to at least announce something, and they honestly need to be doing a LOT better on that front. Having said that, they wouldn't have gone to the effort of making such a great QR and provided all ports for products that weren't going to be released at some point...please don't let me down Logitech!!!

For what it's worth, Fanatec experience here to add to the conversation. I've been buying Fanatec gear for over 11 years now. I've owned the original Porsche 911 wheel and shifter, CSW V1, CSW V2, Clubsport Pedals V2, Elite Pedals V1, Elite Pedals V2, Original Formula Wheel, Formula V2 wheel, CSL P1 Wheel, Podium Advanced Module, Podium DD1, Porsche RSR wheel and Clubsport Shifter V1.5. Most of these were ordered individually and I never had any issues with shipping, including this past Black Friday where I picked up the Shifter on sale. Out of all these products the only reliability issue I had was with the motors on the CSW V1. They basically burnt out, as you couldn't really run that wheel base at full power without burning them out. Fanatec shipped me out new motors and instructions to replace at the time. I did replace them and the wheel continues to work to this day, I just can't turn up the power, which is why I bought the Clubsport V2... lol! Other than that, no issues with any of the other products. Hope this may be helpful to someone, as there is quite a bit of doom and gloom out there and for me at least, I've been very pleased with the products, shipping and customer service. Saving up now for the Gran Turismo DD Extreme. 😁 Happy Sim Racing Everyone!

I want to upgrade my old Porsche Wheel and V2 pedals to DD, but as they won't go local retail, I'll just go to a local shop and get Simagic or Asetek gear. I'd like to stick with Fanatec, and I'd PROBABLY get it delivered in good time, and it will PROBABLY be reliable so I don't have the hassle of shipping it back for warranty repairs, but I don't have to worry about those PROBABLYS if I go with the other brands, so it's goodbye Fanatec, unfortunately.

I've been a Fanatec customer for almost 5 years and have absolutely no complaints. I understand I've been extremely lucky and I feel for those who haven't had the same experience. But their products are incredible. I really hope whatever happens behind the scenes ends up with Fanatec being stronger as a result. They need more innovation as other companies are pushing out better products. I'm too invested in the ecosystem to jump ship completely so I'm hoping for improvements in the leadership by whatever means necessary.

I've had Fanatec gear for a long time and am ready to upgrade to DD, I would like to stick with them, but I am not prepared to send them money over the net because of their issues, I can go to a shop and buy Simagic, Moza and Asetek gear and don't have to stress about any possible delivery delays, or having to ship it back for any issues. Apparently, when asked recently, they (Fanatec) stated that they won't go to a retail system due to cost, I think that is a fatal business error, because, if I'm not prepared to take the risk of sending them money as a satisfied long term Customer, I imagine a lot of other people will feel the same way, and with the competition being so good and so much more accessible, they are going to struggle.

I've recently made the jump to DD with Moza. Nothing but amazing customer support, experience, the whole bit. When I got my items (KS Wheel, R9 Base, SRP Pedals) everything was packaged nicely and looked amazing. The only thing was the sticker pack that is included with the KS Wheel was not with the package. I messaged Moza, within a week, I not only received the sticker pack but an additional one which really helped especially if I made a mistake and had to redo the sticker placement and the original sticker wouldn't fit. As for the driving and software experience, I mainly play iRacing and the feedback I feel from the R9 has been amazing. I've been able to feel more details then ever before and it's helped my driving (especially when catching mistakes lol) the software I find very easy to use and neatly put together. All in all, I've had no complaints from my Moza and plan on expanding my wheel collection soon to add variety.

I upgraded from a Logitech G29 and it was a night and day difference in the driving experience. I only do a little Assetto Corsa Competizione and with the G29 I could barely keep the car on the track let alone race against the AI. Then came my Moza R5 and with its driving experience this wheel I was now competing and actually won some races. I have had no issues with the wheel, base and pedals. I've never had an issue, I've never been unhappy. One thing I do need to say is it takes a few weeks to get the force feedback tuned to your specific desires but when it is, it gives me more information than any other base I've tried and I've been through a ton of thrustmaster gear, quite a bit of Logitech's stuff, and a I've tried fanatecs dd but I didn't buy it for myself as I actually wanted to get my wheel rather than wait for it for however long it took to ship. I will say the fanatec was a lot easier to get to feel how I wanted but moza was more than capable of delivering what I needed.

I have the Alpha base, FX Pro, GT Neo and GTS rims along with their P2000 pedals. Their software was still on its infancy when I first got my products but they've done incredible improvements since then. Only minus I can find on their system is not being able to use SimHub (unless you're wired in with the GT Neo rim). The rims connect wirelessly via bluetooth to the base and just get power from them. If you wire in the GT Neo, you can configure some LEDs but that isn't an option for the FX Pro (at the time I am posting this message). Maybe a future update since Simagic has been great with customer feedback!

Bought a Logitech DD Pro last year after watching many of your videos. Fanatec was on the shortlist but they have too many products - DD1, DD2, CSL, Clubsport, DD+, DD Pro, and that's just the wheelbase - resulted in choice paralysis. I bought the Logitech and although the lack of addons sucks the wheel and pedals themselves are fantastic. There was no mucking about everything was included. And their built-in G923 compatibility mode has been god-tier because the older games just work. This is especially important to me because I swap between PC and PS fairly often. I have zero complaints about the quality or price of the Logitech DD Pro. My only complaint is they're taking too long to release the "ecosystem" of shifters, handbrakes and custom wheels. Where are the wheels for WRC and F1? It's inexplicable how they could release such a good product only to seemingly abandon it like this. I keep hearing rumors about stuff coming soon but I'm losing faith and losing patience.

I started on a NegCon on PS1 in ‘97 -> Logitech G25, G27, Thrustmaster DFP, TM300 last 4 years on Simucube 1 Mige 20Nm. Despite it being an old OSW set-up it has been upgradeable during my ownership: added SImucube wireless BT module + Cube Controls wheel, numerous firmware updates to Aug ‘23 & changed to 22-bit BISC encoder. That is testament to modularity and support from Granite Devices.

Had a horrible experience with my first wheel last year, a Fanatec GT DD Pro (5 nm) - the data connection always slips out in the middle of a race .. and it was the worst customer service experience ever for me.. When I finally got my money back, I went all in on a Simucube 2 Pro. Incredible customer service and exceptional hardware. You really get what you pay for.

Another awesome video Will and Tom! Very extensive. Been eagerly waiting to watch this after working a couple of 13 hour days in row and it was well worth the wait. I've been a Fanatec owner for years as you probably know, and have been one of the lucky ones. Never had an issue with shipping, both recent orders and older orders, totalling well over $10k. I've always been happy with performance and quality along with customer service and spare parts. I now have the CS DD and it's very impressive, extremely detailed and responsive. QR2 is just as good as any other that I've tried and with zero play. I'm wishing the best for Fanatec and all of their employees, I never want to see any company fail, regardless of their mistakes. Peoples lives and families are dependant on Fanatec's success and that should be the focus right now.

I bought once cried once with Simucube 2 Pro as my first base, I have nothing to compare it with but it never leaves me dissapointed or lacking, rock solid thing all around. Can be paired with everything else aside from Fanatec so I got HE Sprints and SHH Shifter. You don't NEED a button box wheel, those are of course very expensive, I have one and almost never use it as I'm manual boy. I got two quick releases for both of my wheels, that button box GT one which is fantastic but yeah I don't use it much and Momo deep round dish bolted directly to the quick release. This setup worked well on a wheel stand, but only up to 12-14nm. I'm now on a prober big boy 8020 rig and everything works flawlesly. Zero issues here.

Ditto. I expect most people have never undertaken video production even close to this level. As a hack myself, I envision that there is AT LEAST a 5:1 ratio to production time vs video length for something of this depth. Could well exceed that when you consider the drive time behind all that, the software tweaking and other side work. Really a quality product that hides the actual work we know that it takes.

I own Simagic Alpha Mini. Great experience both with the product and customer service. Simply 10nm are not enough and I will upgrade at some point. Had a csl DD as well for 3 years. this went back with a fault and was repaired promptly. I also have 7 of their wheels plus adapters for different rims. Last year I had the black Friday problem where I was accused of being borderline fraudulent and my order was cancelled ! All because of a fault with their website. I feel VRS got shafted a bit (PUN). There is a lot you can do for that eco system, but I can see how it can be confusing for a new person. I would argue that the Simucube label is there to say its compatible more so than saying its OSW, MIGE, or VRS compliant. It seems a lot easier to use the HUB from VRS and attach whatever QR system you want (it's been out of stock for some time now) and wheels are plenty with all over the board. Yes you have to use a USB cable with an extender for safe use, but its not going to ruin your experience. Also, I swear VRS is a 20 NM and not a 25 NM motor? Am I wrong? Nonetheless, thank you for your hard efforts on making this video. There is a wealth of knowledge here and throughout the channel, but please for the viewers out there, do your due diligence. I hate to say it but the only way to really know is to try it, but this is a very expensive hobby. Same goes for cars. If you can find a way to test drive them all, you find that the efforts of arguments raging between parties seems trivial.

I definitely plan on getting a DD wheel later this year and have been trying to decide what to go with. I think I’ve landed on the Asetek La Prima. I was thinking of maybe getting the Logitech DD setup, but with the horrible G923 experience I’ve had, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another Logitech product. It’s a shame because I was a Logitech fan for most of my life before I got my G923. The pedals are always glitching out and the wheel base is incredibly loud, which makes streaming audio much worse that it would be otherwise. I’m just glad I learned my lesson before getting my load cell pedals that I recently got. I probably would’ve ended up going with their pedals and would’ve been disappointed. Thank you for all the great reviews you do. You make buying expensive gear a whole lot easier

I went from a Moza R9 to a VRS DFP, and I feel like the VRS has more granular definition to the point you can make it feel like you have sand in the motor and it's grinding away, the Moza never produced that feeling when I tried all the different force feed back settings. Don't get me wrong the Moza R9 was a really good wheel base and when I had it I never felt like I wanted more. I only upgraded to the VRS as I wanted a front mount base and I think I could go back to the R9 and be happy with it if I had to. Was super happy with the R9 and am super happy with the VRS, recommend both bases.

Forte wheel and pedals and La Prima wheelbase. not disappointed. its an amazing product line. updated to V3 software and that caused some glitches but V3.1 sorted that. would have really appreciated a roll-back feature but it would not do that with the new firmware deployed to devices. the lack of shifter and handbrake after this amount of time is also a bit frustrating.
