As I once heard, brother Paul say: “the weapons of our warfare are proclaiming the gospel truth unadulterated, intercessory prayer, and living a godly life. Yes, we must explain to others biblical truth and the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to work in them. 2 Corinthians 7:10 and 2 Peter 3:9 are great Scriptures to share as well.

I Thank God for all you do Around the world in the name of Christ. Paul Washer, I never knew what being humble looked like...until I believe God led me to your ministry and your sermons. What a blessing 🙌 🙏 HeartCry Missionary society is to the people around the world beginning in Peru in 1988 I usually do not like hearing about the $ of a Church.... being so poor and homeless yet I listened to a sermon in which you read from your diary, regarding the trust you have in God to provide Almost 2 hours give or take.. I was so moved 😢I was crying, again I say humble. Even hearing the highs and lows of the early missions and trusting God to pay the missionaries and the bills...usually not in that order but you kept going and kept trusting I have found other good Godly men, who truly preach the world of God as it is meant to be.... Voddie Baucham, John F. MacArthur others. Praise the Lord, Charles Stanley fell asleep in Christ Jesus 🙏 🙌 God Bless you and yours.

Here is an honest question for Pastor Paul Washer here, The question came up in a small men's Bible group study, and the answer was unsettling to me because it gave a lot of red flags. The question was, "is it very important to have an equal level of practicing of being religious, in ways of reading your Bible, pray, go to church, and loving others, as it is to have a relationship with God?" Basically saying 50/50 of practicing religious and having a relationship with God. This made me unsettling because if we are 50/50 a relationship and practicing religious, like I doing my part in my Christian walk by practicing religious acts and having a relationship with God on the side. It makes me feel like this is falling into works and faith, my works and faith in God to do His part. I don't like how this sounds to me. I feel it should be a 100 percent focus on a relationship with God, trust Him in faith, and follow Him as He leads you moves, molds, and teaches you the ways of being a Christian, and the religious acts will be done by the Holy Spirit through me and in me as the evidence of my fruit of the Spirit from the Holy Spirit working in and through me. In all that question made me feel like it was I have to prove myself to God by doing my part in my Christian walk. The verse that was referenced to back up this question was James 2, the whole chapter.
@edwinlopez8559 Жыл бұрын
The question is posed as if they are two separate things. If you take care of your relationship with God/Christ, then the "practicing religious things" will also naturally be included because you cannot have a relationship apart from Him without seeking Him in His Word and praying to Him. But the two are not mutually exclusive and that is the answer you need to have. It sounds as if someone is trying to imply that the reading of the Bible and prayer are works to be done in order to grow in grace and sanctification, but it is the Holy Spirit who accomplishes your sanctification, and not by works lest any man boast. Playing/practicing religious is not biblical. You must cultivate a relationship with Him. In Matthew, Jesus says that "many" will come to Him on that day and say, "Lord, Lord!" and He will reply, "depart from Me, I never knew you." So the right focus and the question is therefore, How can I ensure that Christ KNOWS me? That He doesn't say that to me on that day? The answer is the same. Seek Him. Get to know Him and He will know you. How? Just exactly what Paul has just outlined. Read that Bible, every day, over and over. Not just one verse, but read it, chapter by chapter. Read it to see what He is revealing to you. Read it because that is How He reveals who He is and how He views things so that you are enabled to answer questions like yours just by knowing Him and His characteristics and the right way to see and do things, which are all spelled out in the Word. And pray. When you persist in prayer, it eventually becomes a two way communication because as you ask for things to be revealed in your life, He will reveal them.
@edwinlopez8559 Жыл бұрын
What James is saying is what I said. Faith without work is dead, because if you truly have faith you will naturally have works because you will very changed on the inside. That changed person will have a love for others and will do for others without having to be asked. The desire to be of service to others is given us by Christ. Therefore when James says, "I'll show you my faith by my works," that's what he means. My works will prove that faith is operating in me to make me desire to help others. But just helping others without faith or a true relationship with Christ, is just works. Dead works. The works only come alive when you are in a relationship with Him and His prompting spurs on those works. I hope this helps.

"Once you've settled it in your heart that Jesus is the exact representation and image of God, the fullness of Deity in bodily form, and if you see the Son you see the Father, no longer can you see the crucifixion as something God was doing to Jesus, or was inflicting on Jesus, or that God was anywhere else except IN CHRIST completely one with the experience. No longer can you see the atonement as Jesus appeasing some other being, or Jesus being forsaken by some other being. In the cross, we cannot imagine another Deity doing something else besides being fully represented in the crucified One. Jesus was completely representing all of God in his Passion and death. You cannot separate the Trinity. God is One. When you start making the Trinity act separately or make the Son do something the Father is not doing, then you forget that Jesus said, "I only do what I see the Father doing" and "I and the Father are one." When you realize this, then you look at the cross and no longer see compassionate Jesus taking the angry wrath of some other being called God, but rather in Jesus you are seeing God, you are seeing the Father. If Jesus only does what he sees the Father doing, then when he submits to be crucified it is because that's what he sees his Father doing, not because that's what he sees the Father just wanting him to do. If when you see the Son you see the Father, then when you see Jesus laying down his life, you are also seeing the Father lay down his life. God does not demand or require the death of Jesus, rather God in Christ lays down his life in non-retaliatory enemy-love and forgiveness to reveal God’s nature and make peace with the world." - Jacob M. Wright -

We need to focus a lot more seriously on strengthening our faith in Christ. For that purpose, reading and understanding the Bible is absolutely necessary. Then, we need to live like Christ. How did Jesus tackle the daily temptation and challenges? The answers are found in the Bible. Churchesand the leaders spend too much time evangelising. The best evangelism is to live by Christ example and let the unsaved see in you Christ lives.

The Grace of God does not exist. Just as an angry God does not exist. Grace according to pagan tradition is = unmerited favor given to a human by the angry gods. I can not bestow grace on my children because I LOVE them, and because they are not strangers to me. God is not a stranger to any human. All humans are the children of God. God LOVES everything in his creation. All humans came from God. If Washer had a relationship with God, he would know this spiritual fact.
