I love the behind the scenes info on this movie. It really was just a group of college kids going into the woods to make a movie. They had to put a floor in the cabin, run power to it, it was freezing cold when shooting, they did their own stunts, own makeup, etc…. It was an all around nightmare to film but it’s a testament to what you can do with no money, and lots of determination.

Important note about watching second one. The beginning of it is more or less a reboot of the first movie. It's really only when Ash is sent flying through the woods that the sequel actually starts, because that is how the first movie ended. If you ignore everything that happens before that moment it lines up perfectly. You don't have to skip the opening or anything, just keep in mind they're doing a super abridged version of the first movie up until Ash is sent flying through the woods.

@@HonkeyKong54 eddiejravannen and gordons-alive gave you the answers. For the third movie, it doesn't start with Ash being praised like in the end of the second movie but with Ash being captured, plus the movie is more comedy than horror, distancing itself from the two other movies, IMHO.
