I can relate so much lol When I was younger, I ate so much garbage it was worrying. But I never got fat because of gym class, and I also played hockey, soccer, went skateboarding, snowboarding, etc. I was a super active kid. I would skip breakfast and sometimes lunch, and come home after school and eat pizza or poutine, 3 servings of ice cream, 3 full bowls of dorito chips, etc. It all changed once I started university in engineering (very demanding program) and had less time for myself because of the super long commute, work load, etc. There were also no mandatory gym classes either so my activity level plummeted. Went from 100 to 0 real quick. Sure during Summer breaks I'd be more active, but it was only for 3 months out of 12 in a year. When I started university, i noticed the pounds piling up. It was only in my 3rd year of uni that I decided to do something about it. My grades went down a bit, from 3.8/4.0 GPA average to 3.5/4.0, but I was so much healthier and spending 1-2 hours a day for physical activity instead of studying was worth it in the long run.

@@parkerrish9024 Ha! Thanks man, that’s what over 26 years of hard work in the gym will do for you I guess! I was a scrawny wimpy kid when I first started out in the gym.

@@gregdoucette Oh it was really bad.....My Mom actually dressed me in pants with built in suspenders and the huge aviator glasses with the strap around my neck. Let’s just say I had a very rough childhood getting beat up almost daily until I discovered the gym, and I literally almost didn’t make it past middle school alive because at one point it got so bad I almost didn’t want to live anymore. No exaggeration at all..... I made a 4 minute video about it on my channel (my transformation story video) with the intent on telling my story to help others possibly dealing with similar issues in their lives. It’s a pretty moving story in a very short video that I really think you’d actually appreciate. Having lived through that hellish experience growing up being bullied relentlessly is why I’m so intent on giving back and helping others with what I’m doing now with my channel.

Greg is your prefect of discipline that motivates you by shouting and belittling you or maybe I am just masochist but whatever it is I feel Motivated once again. Thank you Coach Greg Douchette :)

Greg's childhood diet sounds like my diet up til 5-6 years ago. 🤣 luckily I'm an ectomorph so I only got to be like 20 lbs overweight. I knew nothing about nutrition.

Thank you Coach Greg for all your videos! I found you recently and these past weeks have been so enlightening with all the mistakes i’ve been doing wrong. I appreciate you for sharing all your lessons with us, it saves everyone time and effort that we would’ve wasted making them ourselves. Thank you for being humble, having humility, being motivational, and being hilarious! Keep making the videos because I will keep watching them :)!
