I can relate so much lol When I was younger, I ate so much garbage it was worrying. But I never got fat because of gym class, and I also played hockey, soccer, went skateboarding, snowboarding, etc. I was a super active kid. I would skip breakfast and sometimes lunch, and come home after school and eat pizza or poutine, 3 servings of ice cream, 3 full bowls of dorito chips, etc. It all changed once I started university in engineering (very demanding program) and had less time for myself because of the super long commute, work load, etc. There were also no mandatory gym classes either so my activity level plummeted. Went from 100 to 0 real quick. Sure during Summer breaks I'd be more active, but it was only for 3 months out of 12 in a year. When I started university, i noticed the pounds piling up. It was only in my 3rd year of uni that I decided to do something about it. My grades went down a bit, from 3.8/4.0 GPA average to 3.5/4.0, but I was so much healthier and spending 1-2 hours a day for physical activity instead of studying was worth it in the long run.

No exaggeration at all..... I made a 4 minute video about it on my channel (my transformation story video) with the intent on telling my story to help others possibly dealing with similar issues in their lives.
