Binge watching Greg’s videos. After 1 year of keto I’m absolutely terrified to eat a banana. I lost weight, yes, but my relationship with food is destroyed and I’m looking for ways to repair that while still being accountable to my goals and not make excuses. Love his no nonsense approach and logic. We need more of that in this world. Tough love and the hard truth of it all.

Terrified to eat a bananna... let me tell you I have acute kidney failure from too much dietary protein, edema in my ankles and protein in my urine and I'm scared to eat less protein to risk losing muscle. Eating disorders are deadly. We both need to snap out of it.

Some of my friends are stupid like that. There is this scrawny kid who is pretty shredded like 5'5 probably 120 pounds who eats 130 grams of protein... I am like 5'10 160 pounds less than 20% bf but not shredded and way more muscular than my friends and I eat 60-70 grams. When he told me that shit I was like ._.

Yes. I’m literally like fuck counting all of my macros. I’m gonna cut back on sugar but as far as how much fat I’m intaking I’m not gonna care anymore. I’m just gonna stick to my calorie deficit while eating more protein/carbs

Yeah! I remember that I would depend on my fitness pal to tell me if I'm hungry or not. Ie. I used to eat a yogurt or a protein shake late at night just to hit the target rather than checking with myself if I am still hungry. I mean I still max my protein because it helps me to feel full and I am hungry if I eat too much carbs but I treat it as a guideline not an objective.

Too much Dr Berg Ketogenic diet 'propaganda' wreck havoc, if my memory serves correctly, I would do a leg workout, with my legs 'burning' and unable to properly walk, and then 'fast' until the next day. Fasting has so many amazing benefits but after a heavy session, where the aim is to build muscle, I don't recommend it at all.

Count calories first then macros. I am trying to recomp and lose fat since I am so over weight. Eating mostly protein and fiber with low carbs helps me stay full longer while eating less calories to lose weight. Also I lift weights 6 days a week.

Great, never looked better. I have visable abs, been growing in size the whole time. I eat pretty care free. I have a basic diet I stick to, and if I feel like it Ill eat whatever I want within reason. I enjoy food. Just find the right balance

Love this! I stopped counting macros years ago. I get the same results by just counting calories. It all converts the same way regardless. Most people get enough protein in their food anyway.

It not all about the bf percent.. someone can look ripped with 18% and other guy look like shit with 18% because of how that fat is distributed on their body!!

It also matters about how much muscle they have, like Eddie hall at 20% body fat will appear considerably more shredded than your average Joe at 20% body fat

There are charts on Google images if you type in bf percentage but like the others have commented on here it doesn't matter. It's not accurate as you will look different even if you have the same percentage as someone else and those charts in relation to the pics may be off by a few percent anyway. The numbers that are more important are your weight and your waist size, those are great ways to see if you are making progress with fat loss and also the mirror. So take progress pics along with those weekly measurements and you will get a realistic look at how your body composition is changing. You will pretty much know when you are done, especially if you have a goal such as "being able to see my abs when tensed" and that can be done without ever trying to measure bf percentage. If you still want to know your accurate bf levels out of curiosity, go for a Dexa scan.

I’m glad I found this guy. I love the simplified approach he has to nutrition. I was drowning in numbers and basically trying to become rainman or some shit trying to count macros and figure out the exact percentages. Didn’t take long for that to wear thin and I figured I was doomed

I watched calories and then I stopped losing weight and started to gain. I had no idea about macros back then. I then did Keto and it also worked at first, and then I started slowly gaining weight. I learned more creative healthy ways to make snacks & use Whole Foods. I think it was due to hormones, getting older, and my body gets used to what I do and then it makes it hard to lose and keep weight off. I am now back to counting calories and watching protein and it seems to be helping. I hope it continues to work for me based on weight, height, age, etc. I’m learning from these videos, so thank you for the videos! I just recently started watching KZbin, and found you by watching Will Tennyson.

Preach. I've never understood the if it fits your macros thing. It's so much easier to just eat balanced meals and not worry about it. Under this principal you never really need to worry about getting enough protein. Balanced meals: - eggs/fruit/oatmeal - chicken breast/rice/broccoli - steak/bell peppers/sweet potato - fish/quinoa/asparagus
