rafia aziz. Yes and thank you. I use them for some meetings I hold in India. They are very powerful in a group situation. So pleased they are helping.
Consciousness (knowing) is the stuff out of which experience is made. Could you experience anything other than knowing? The essential wound is separateness. That's the price to pay for manifestation. Separation brings about conflict because either we want something from others (grasping), or we feel threatened by others (rejection). 'Linear' process: we have to go from the solid body made out of matter, to sensing which is made out of mind to pure knowing which is consciousness. Conventional TV-screen metaphor (another one): 3 people watch a movie, one describes what he sees (body), one says I'm watching a movie (mind) and the 3d I'm watching the screen (consciousness). Same thing, reality is what it is regardless of what the mind comes with, the interpretation of it.

When I die will I go to all this supposed love that all these great teachers speak of ? I need to know this so I can accept the present moment , I have to know this deep within so that I may be a gem unto this world 🌎, any angels that can blast 💥 me with this knowing I would be forever grateful so that the truth may be carried through me . Amen 🙏

Right now you can rest as awareness/love until it becomes obvious that in one sense, you are already dead. The awareness/love you can know now is the same love.

I dont understand practical life with this understanding. If everything is made out of "I" then why not jump in a fire? Why not do harm? Why not do unhealthy habits? I mean it doesn't really matter. Nothing can happen to I. It seems quite nihilistic. Why has I created such a horrible dream? And if there is no controller of thoughts or feelings and therefore action why do anything? How is one suppose to go about practical life if there is no doer? I liked it better when there were "others" to love. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Jon M It's not either emptiness or fullness. Both are happening as one. We can embrace both apparent halves of this paradox. That way we get real happiness being intimate with experience and simultaneously free from it. It's a real miracle! All we're suggesting is that because we have ignored awareness and only focused on appearance we have an I'm balanced view.

Jon M Practical life continues as before. The only thing to loose is suffering
@jonm33886 жыл бұрын
I understand that. I see. What I dont understand is in this understanding there is no free will as rupert says yet we are suppose to do this or that. My life was somewhat enjoyable before this nondual understanding arose. I use to be goal oriented and accomplish many things. Now the desire, motivation and joy of life has vanished. Not to mention the resistance I have to the existence of evil especially when involving children. I also suffer from 24hr intense pain for the last 11 years. In this understanding 11 years is just a story and the pain is simply a sensation made of myself. I feel this understanding has negatively impacted how I've approached healing and it has also confused mind, seeing how its undiagnosed, wether itd a physical issue or a energetic contraction from remnants of the ego. Its location is also quite odd as it's in the skull and spine. Difficult to see any joy in life or Self.
@alanneachell90926 жыл бұрын
Jon M . The non dual teachings are not the truth but only a model of the reality which cannot be described! Please don't feel that this perspective is the only way to peace and happiness. Some of the Buddhist teachings are very beautiful and there are many more besides that honor the individual and free will. 💕
@jonm33886 жыл бұрын
I have studied & practiced many forms of buddhism, advaita, taoism and philosophies. There is no person and especially not one with free will. There is however pain arising in awareness and made out of awareness. This creates anger and the desire to get rid off. It also makes the body mind world disgusting.

Could someone please help me understand when Rupert says “we haven’t found matter? “ I intuit such truth in these teachings, but I’m not grasping this one 🙏🏽
@alanneachell90924 ай бұрын
All we know of so called matter is seeing, smelling, hearing, tasting and feeling. These are all immaterial. The five senses are the world. Is it a coincidence that that the so called world appears in precise correspondence to the five senses? How would the so called world appear if there were more or less senses?

@@alanneachell9092 hhmm, thank you. I’ll sit with this awhile. 🤔

@@ashleymurphy9585 see if you can find matter apart from the five senses. Imagine putting the senses on one side and see what remains.

This same question has been asked for centuries "why would pure consciousness have or be a structure that allows potential error or a detour into wars, crudeness, evil so on? I accept the possibility of heavenly realities in infinity but why allow this one. I also realize I placed myself here through the creative actions gone awry. Did I KNOW prior to ENTERING all of my past incarnations? Was I so headstrong to usurp (GOD's) CREATIVE POWER? Until AWOKE? AND WHY WOULD I If AS PURE AWARENESS IT WAS HEAVENLY? There is something odd about THIS architectural design. I can see why atheist thinking has sprouted. t am not an atheist thinker BUT could THIS consciousness (reality) be a flawed one? In allowing IT? We are in one finite slice of INFINITE possibilities.

Around 14:50 - so experience and consciousness are one? (been bumping up against this ‘experience’ thing lately and have struggled with it. Experience to me often leads to stuff and the world of things). There’s another idea that after removing all perception (inputs of a ‘world’) there remains only consciousness. I connect w/this a lot easier. Just some note phrasing’s for me to ponder and revisit. 15:06 You cannot separate experience from yourself (implying not subject/object) 16:28 Separation is the price of manifestation 😮
@alanneachell9092 Жыл бұрын
At some point it becomes necessary to see clearly that awareness and perception are two names for the same thing. I'm speaking with many people who are leaning too heavily on awareness after realising that they had overlooked it for so long.
@johnnywlittle Жыл бұрын
@@alanneachell9092 Yes, Thx Alan. I seem to be one of them (leaners;-). The thought comes about that in discovering ‘consciousness’ that I’ve somehow possibly separated experience and perception from the whole. Not sure but think onto something because it keeps coming up.
@alanneachell9092 Жыл бұрын
@@johnnywlittle now that it’s obvious that there is a knowing/awareness it’s safe not to hold onto that and start to recognise that in every arising it comes with that knowing. Our attention goes back onto perceptions without losing the knowing element. We are both the knowing and the known or better knowingknown written as one word.

What if we as one single mind as well as individuals minds create a world of suffering, because this is a dream of separation of itself in consciousness. What if the idea of being separate from itself gave rise to a dream of fear in consciousness? Fear is the root of suffering and cruelty in the world in the same way that any ideia of separation from what constitutes us is experienced with fear. How about a dream of fear in which consciousness loses itself in the fearful dreamed world in the same way we do in our dreams. Isn’t the finite self existence a permanent effort to deny the fear of having no real importance and significance?

I think you're saying the same thing?
@lindaj713 жыл бұрын
I have some confusion about the field of awareness being empty, although I do know that language itself is problematic. If consciousness is love does that constitute emptiness? Also if the infinite can only know the infinite does it not know the modulations that become finite?
@alanneachell90923 жыл бұрын
What is your definition of emptiness. Awareness doesn’t know the finite because the finite is fabricated by thought and is not actual. When one apparent arising is replaced by another nothing has happened because they are both equal in being made of awareness. Only thought differentiates.
