The joyless first entry? I definitely disagree with that view on the first film. I had more joy watching the insanely action packed finale of that film or the banter between Stallone and Statham than I did with the majority of Expendables 2. And Chuck wasn't really next to Arnie that often. Maybe one scene at best. But it's so brief it's blink and you miss it. Most of the time Chuck is just shooting bad guys by himself.

What can i say? 😂 I feel you, man. Its a disappointing movie. Let alone a sequel. Its a bullshit retcon excuse for damaging our old school action heroes. Hence, the line "Im back". Come on, Arnold (you can do better than that). Arnold should not retire or anything but dude, rehashing same old ideas is not a good thing. Sly Stallone looks out of touch as well. The editing is cataclysmic on the grounds that the director, who is in charge of this shit, doesnt know how to put it altogether or count his goddamn fingers. Keep up your vids!

It's not as good as the first movie for sure, but there's still things I like about this movie overall. The opening and the finale are pretty awesome IMO, although the Van Damme/Stallone fight was disappointing. I do think the action is handled better here by Simon West as far as direction and their being less shaky cam, but the movie really does slow to a crawl in the middle section and the stakes should have felt alot higher.

Honestly The Expendables series would have worked way better in the 80s, 90s, or 2000s. None of these films were perfect but the 3rd one is certainly the worst one.

Antonio Banderas makes the third one worth a watch. The second one is actually pretty decent coming off a pretty unimpressive first outing.

I finally watched this last night for the first time. What a huge, steaming pile of shit. How can you take almost every great action actor of all time & Scott Adkins who’s acting isn’t as good as his fighting but it’s good enough………then turn it into a movie that’s so terrible I had to turn it off @ times to help dissipate the cringe??? I literally turned off the movie more then twice because I felt embarrassed for the plot & action/shooting/fighting choreography! The Chuck Norris joke was played out. If I took my family to c this in the regular price theatre I would have been pissed. Even the most panned movies from JCVD like TineCop are way more enjoyable.

It's been since 2012 when I saw the sequel in theatres. I used to like it when I first saw it, but looking back at it now (though I haven't seen it since I last saw the film in theatres), it wasn't as good as the first film. To date, it was the last Expendables film I saw.

Yeah absolutely film hasn't aged well at all ended up becoming a completely wasted opportunity waiting upon the backstory the fight between Statham and Atkins got cut short because of a Deleted scene involving for tennis player Novak djokovic where he is attacking terrorists with a tennis racket it's beyond Parady

It's OK I like the opening bit of action parts flying after that it kind of falls it has too many jokes I like the airport stuff Chuck Norris comes in to help out and such I have all three but three is pretty damn bad it had so much wasted screen Time looking for a young team it didn't need a very short fight with Ross and stonebanks the sequels definitely have their disappointments.

I don’t mind this sequel overall. The only thing I despise is Van Damme and Stallone’s fight at the end. And the team pretty much just wants revenge for Liam Hemsworth is kinda odd and lame as well because you barley knew Hemsworth as a character and he’s Liam Hemsworth he sucks lol

It's wierd Stallone beat Van to easy but with Stone Cold he kicked Slys ass. I wanted Van to beat Slys ass then Sly beats Van. Van and Scott didn't have many scenes .This movie is silly full of bad jokes Sly says Expendables 2 is better. I prefer the first one . Part 2 average movie -5/10. Part 1 -8/10
