Fascinating! There are so many details of life I don’t know.

I used to live in West and never knew this! Much obliged!

It is so goofy you'd think the government did it. The Crash at Crush. The locomotives were about to be scrapped, that's why the deal came up.

What wonderful, silly, absolutely Texas thing! Thanks for the story!

I’d read about this before but didn’t know about the musical piece or that it was so near West. West is where the BIG explosion occurred just a few years back, so that area has some pretty explosive history!

Well, I knew you weren't going to talk about the recent explosion in West, but maybe the harbor explosion in Texas City, or the school explosion in Rusk.

I've never heard that before. That's really interesting. Also, I love a good Scott Joplin song. The Entertainer is my favorite of his.

I have heard of the crush crash, it’s a cool story. Another interesting fact there are two organizations still operating in Texas that are older than Texas as a state. Both are located in Waco. Although previously located in different places Baylor University (02/01/1845) and the Grand Masonic Lodge of Texas (12/20/1837) both were founded before December 29 1845 when Texas became a state.

I can say that I've heard about this. I've been to West Texas a few times.

You like explosions? Do a video on the Texas City disaster. It was really awful though. Sad.
