Rod Stewart was obviously driving the sound and ego showing, but at least they were all real musicians, before corporate dictated who would be popular without an ounce of talent. A cool glimpse into how it was with The Faces, and an underated great rock band.

I once bumped into Wood and Stewart outside The Rum Runner in Birmingham, in the mid 60'svery much dressed in their dandy look then and smelling like a perfume factory, hair severely back combed, what a sight! I'd have taken any bets they were both Gay. Couldn't have been more wrong really!

I love Ronnie Lane and I think he was great! When Steve Marriott left the band and Rod Stewart took over I don't listen to it anymore. And when Rod Stewart came to America I don't remember him including the word faces. It was all about him! Sorry guys but that's just the way it is.
