Jodo Kast is even older than this tale - he first appeared in the West End Games Star Wars RPG adventure "Tatooine Manhunt". Since they didn't want to take the chance of outcries if the PC killed a canon character, this "knock off" was made, who was slightly less of a challenge to beat and wouldn't risk taking Fett out folk's campaigns. Being one of the first adventures for the game, he gained some notoriety, and finally got picked up into this little gem.

Awesome content..Open Season is 1 of my fav Fett origin books..im gonna with rite after Vader kills all the seperatist leaders on Mustafar.Before his fight with Obi Wan.. A young Mustafarian boy was so excited to see a REAL LIFE JEDI he runs to go meet him.Until hes stopped by an elder..The boy was told to hide stay down and be quiet..Because that is no Jedi its a monster. At the same time Vader with yellow burning hatred in his eyes with 1 tear sees both the Mustafarian boy and elder..The man elder has worked the lava fields for so long he know the only way to save themselves is release neurotoxin gases that are vented out thru airducts..He was able to fill the room with the gas..immediately Vader starts having visions of ghosts 1 of QuiGon saying What have you done Skywalker?.Another looked like Padme all taunting him he ignites his his blue sabre and starts slashing at the air..At this time the boy and older man start running. The young boy gets away. But the elder is not so lucky.He runs and leaps off a balcony just to have his ankle snatched by Vaders gloved grip..

Hate to correct you. But Joda Kast wasn't the only one who tried to impersonate Boba Fett. In star wars tales #18 Boba fett was in Nar Hutta getting his armour repaired, where he was attacked by a gang of theives. Though he defeated them. One of the thieves, stole his armour from the workshop and headed to a cantina to bask in the fame and glory of being the galaxy's No1. Only to be tracked down by Boba fett wearing his father's armour. Boba Fett beaten the theif and stripped the armour off leaving him bloodied, bruised and in humiliation.

You're right, especially because of Han's dialogue at the beginning of A New Hope, when he tells Luke that he's never seen any proof of "an all powerful force", and that hokey religions are no match for "a good blaster by your side". Fast forward to cloud city in Empire Strikes Back and Han draws and fires quickly and it looks like he gets the drop on Vader, only for Vader to raise his hand and deflect the shot.

This is the real Fett. Not the trainwreck Disney version. I hated Fett in the Mandalorian. Acting tough, posing, so unprofessional. The real Fett is cold and calculating. In the cantina with the mando girl, he should have just watched her silently not saying a word. And if she tried anything, he would execute her on the spot. Not try to shoot a wire at her.. Ah, I am so sick of it how it turned out. Stupid George for selling the franchise.
