Weak men make hard times... so true Trump's bumbling has brought America to the brink of destruction. Where the rest of the world have flattened their curves, America remains a hot spot of infection, Most countries supported the business AND CITIZENS, and his ransacking of regulations, healthcare, EPA and now the post office have been devastating. Trump is making America a fascist dictatorship, and his followers are worried that it's socialism if Bernie and AOC bring universal healthcare during the worst pandemic in 100 years. Healthcare that the rest of the world have had for a half century

To put it in simple terms, the saying is "To whom much is given, much is required". I watched another video a few days by a different youtuber who said "preppers prepare by buying and storing stuff, but survivalist learn skills". All supplies will eventually run out without a replenishment source, whether it be a year, 2 years, or 2 months... but a person who acquires skills and learns self sufficiency will survive. You have already given out much knowledge to that end. Thank you! Be blessed and be a blessing!

Outstanding! Thank you for tying these 2 concepts of preparation and generosity together. This is something I'm always battling with mentally- the urge to say, "the signs were there for months, I'm not giving you anything because you didn't take heed to the warning signs and prepare." But Im reminded of Luke 12:23, "life is more than food and the body more than clothes." There's too many instructions in the bible that say to give generously that we simply can't ignore.

Fantastic video! I was raised Roman Catholic. As a child, I wasn’t interested in learning about religion in any form, because - it wasn’t interesting to me. But you’ve really made me reconsider my outlook on the future, given our our current situation in America. I don’t feel as though I can encourage my friends/family/neighbors to prepare for the worst. But I DO feel an obligation to prepare FOR them, because of this video. So thank you for ,asking me look outside my own family, and towards people who will CERTAINLY need help if/when “it hits the fan”. Well done!

@@Nick75au1 Perfectly said. Wisdom is being able to recognize what's valuable, even if it's covered in mud. As a fellow (quiet) atheist, I agree with you. Morals transcend religious dogma. Hey Simon, either it’s true or it’s not. Don’t mean to sound so blunt, because you could be Cody’s brother (and mine) tomorrow, but there are many gods and religions as you know. Logically they all can’t be true. Christianity doesn’t offer nice stories - it claims to be the puzzle piece that explains Life itself. That’s a pretty big claim.

I love the United States and was fortunate to spend 2 years of my childhood there. But I am concerned with a couple of things. Wall Street controls congress not vice versa. Codie Philo Antifa ought to be declared a terrorist organization. Nothing good comes out of those people. Defund the police come on mate. Capitalism is not the problem, look at socialist or commy countries, they will eventually fall apart, Venezuela being the last one. My point is: the government cannot give the big companies relief packages, the quantitave easing after 2008 is what is to blame for the rising divide. The government should let the big companies go bankrupt and instead give relief to the people not shareholders. Som companies will go bankrupt but it is an oppurtunity for another company to be built.

Being self-sufficient is a mindset I grew up with. My parents and grandparents were frugally minded. Then being in the Boy Scouts taught me preparedness. The USMC taught me how to prepare for and handle so many difficult situations. I had a variety of jobs that gave me broad experience, namely logistics. I'm also a multi-generational Florida Native, so seasonally we prepare for weather related emergencies. I have raised gardens so we can grow some of our own vegetables and I share my space with a friend who wanted to participate. I like to teach others about general preparedness and I find myself talking to people in the stores. The basic idea is causing them to be more critical thinkers and develop their own strategy for their family. Relying on the government is not a viable plan. Actually, government welfare programs are designed to keep people trapped at the lowest level and therefore dependent upon the government for their existence. People become so dependent that they never develop a personal plan for self-sufficiency. This is never more true than in the political arena. Politicians promise free stuff if they can get votes and elected. There is a huge chasm between being on government welfare and being able to become self-sufficient, that's why it's a trap. This entire pandemic has caused more people to consider their own position. Many have a jump start because they already live and practice prepping and others are now joining in. What is sad are those who are happy to take the government handouts and even demand more. The anarchists/socialists are the ones demanding that they be given cradle-to-grave entitlements without ever having to work for it. That will drain and bankrupt any society. Disclaimer: My use of the term self-sufficient is a generalization because I'm actually relying on God for my needs. Just wanted to clear that up!

I broke my spine in two places, broke 8 ribs, shattered pelvis and dislocated hip, collapsed lung, torn aorta, removed spleen, broken femur, knee replacement, and broken foot. The pain was more than anyone could imagine. Doctors have told me it will take a year or so before i can walk again normally. 8 months later and everything has healed except my right foot, the surgeon had to cut through my sciatic nerve to reconstruct my pelvis and therefore i have considerable nerve damage in my right foot. I can walk a bit, but I still have a way to go. Most of the time, i am stuck in a hospital bed and i have to rely on my wife and two kids to help me. It's very humbling and hard to deal with but i have no choice, i have to keep going and working hard to get back to walking. My wife and kids need me, especially in the tough days ahead. This accident couldn't have happened at a worse time, but it has gave me perspective and I'm here because God has a purpose for me. Luckily, I'm prepared fairly well. I think God told me to prepare for what's coming. I thank him every night. I know how you feel Cody, sorry for rambling lol, but you're absolutely right and i can relate. We are witnessing the end of days, the beginning of sorrows and the build up to the Tribulation. God bless you and yours Cody and i pray you have a speedy recovery.

Back in March when the pandemic was ramping up and we started working from home (both blessed to still be employed) I told my husband, as the snow piled up the window and it was still thirty-something below outside, that the one thing I knew for certain is that we would not go hungry. We had over a thousand baby plants growing inside our home-office. Those baby plants are now producing fruit and many are waiting for us in Ball jars in the cupboards. We knew then that if we lost our jobs, we could focus on food and preparing for winter. I knew we could eat what we have until the rivers thaw, and we could begin fishing then. One must have a plan. I am incredibly concerned for those who live in urban areas and who cannot grow/hunt/fish/forage for their own sustenance. I recall seeing news coverage of a two-mile-long line of cars waiting to get food from a food-bank in Florida. The coverage showed beautiful boulevards of palm trees and tropical plants. Why are they not growing food? There could be bountiful produce along every road. If this doesn't cause us to change our paradigm, nothing will. We do reap what we sow. Stay well!

He tells us that God may require that we share what we have with others. I’m all for that; that’s one of the reasons we’ve stored so much food. However, I urge people to be careful. We took in a young homeless couple. He had work (under the table, it turns out) but only worked when he felt like it. He liked playing video games more. She said she couldn’t find a job, and spent a lot of time in our pool or on her phone. They lived off of food stamps and produce I brought them. She’s trying to get on disability, but is not disabled. We charged them $350 rent, and said if they couldn’t pay the whole amount, they could work around the house & yard for $10 an hour, for the other half of the rent. They quickly tired of that. Getting $175 rent money each month was like pulling teeth. Finally, some of our money disappeared, and we told them they’d have to leave. That was a very long 7 months; we had to hide our valuables and never knew what else they might take when we weren’t looking. Some people just want to live off of others’ efforts, and have no work ethic of their own. I think we did all we could for them, and wish them well, but we don’t really feel like repeating that experience. Be aware, when you take people into your home, that whatever you have is at their mercy, and if you live in NY, politicians might make it so you can’t even get rid of the very people who you’ve been trying to help when they start making your life miserable. Also, when you keep the commandments and work hard, God blesses you. Other people see those big blessings and sometimes get jealous, and think they can take what they want of what you have, because somehow they’re entitled. Try to keep those “blessings” out of sight and give to others, but do it through the mail, or far away from where you live.

The lessons in the Bible and other holy books are not only sacred and mystical, but very practical for living a happy, wholesome life. That's why it's a shame those principles aren't taught as core curriculum in schools. The other thing I want to add is to encourage people to see that the division isn't red vs blue, black vs white, but kindness vs unkindness hope vs despair, courage vs cowardice, generosity vs selfishness, patience vs frustration. We can't make a better world unless we are better people first and foremost in our own hearts. That's a much taller order than waving a sign and chanting a slogan, but it's much more worth while. God bless you all!!

Proverbs 22:3 New International Version 3 The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Ben Franklin GENESIS 41 25Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. 27The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine. 28“It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. 29Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, 30but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. 31The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe. 32The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon.

The times are really rough and will get worse, that is true. But if there is anything this member of the Church of Jesus Christ has learned it is that God always moves and does things in a consistent manner. When the people are in the throws of sin and wickedness, he sends his prophets to give warning as to the wages of sin. If the people repent as a whole, then He is merciful and gives us blessings. If they, turn a blind eye and ear to the warnings, then He sends a wake-up call, such as a plague/pandemic, an earthquake, a natural disaster, etc. to show He means business. If they repent, He will forgive and bless. If they do not repent and turn back to righteousness, then he warns those who are righteous to move away and get out of harms way. Then His full furry is unleashed against the wicked. Earth life is our testing ground so we can develop great faith in Him who created all things and considers us to be just a little lower than the Angels. Stay faithful and strong. Use wisdom and judgement during this troublesome times. Endure the winds and rains, and thunders and lightenings. They will pass and a glorious morn always follows the darkest hours. God's course is one eternal round.

hi Cody, here in Spain we expect te worst economic situation since the Civil War in 1939, plus the inmigration problems and leftist governors doing all they can against people and ruining the country. it's a sad situation and this is only the begining this winter, hope God help us .

Good point, Thanks for that. This message in non denominational form could really give many the perspective we all need a reminder of. I don't see this country and perhaps world making it past this next challenging cycle without a big shift to more family and community based needs being met.

Cody, I’ve been watching you for some time now. I find that you’re a very kind and generous man. But, what strikes me the most is, you’re appear genuine. You’re words have lessons in them and it’s something our country really needs now. Unfortunately, most will learn the hard way. Thanks for always being there (on KZbin) and good luck on your move. I’ve made at least 31 moves in my life, being in the military. One more will be my forever home, when I build it-thanks to your timber videos. ☺️

Do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Matthew 6:31-34

I've never ever seen anything like this before. Economy was made bad by covid and then riots destroying business's has contributed to more job losses. You'd think that covid was bad enough and now the ongoing riots. If people don't see that this is a spiritual war I hope they wake up very soon. I came across your channel looking at the devasting fires in Cali. T.Y. for bringing light to a dark world. God bless and I pray for your safety.

Very important remark, the government alone has never enough resources for everybody, and is not prioritizing you as an individual. That is a socialist idealized dream and comes from our cosy life , which always resulted in great suffering for the citizens

It is so interesting to "see" these days thru your perspective. It is less bleak on the Northern Prairie as we are not experiencing a deep recession. We only had a mild downturn because we only had a partial shutdown during the spring. That's not to say, that I won't heed your caution, but it is harder to see the need to hunker-down as our state and local economy is stable and climbing. We even had our town's fall festival last weekend.
