its functional for the environment its in. they have no electricity or roads. even if you could build a "normal" house and you build a solar/wind system to run it....hows he supposed to keep it up? they don't have any money and there is no home dept/ace/lowes/bunnings around the corner. she build something sustainable for the economic and environmental conditions.

Even the homeless over her in the US have more than what this family had. And with so many stories of single moms, it's good to see a dad stay with the family like he was, even through tough times. I don't know how you could do it, but next time please set up (or announce) a fund drive to help out, I'm sure a lot of people here would help. You have a lot of subscribers and viewers, and even if it averaged to a few dollars per person, it would add up quick.

@@TheFilipinaPeaHe knew, Pea. It’s a pride thing, being a man. You’re supposed to be able to provide for your family. The fact he’s a construction worker is amazing, because he should be earning many times that. He was happy with it all in the end.

I think there was more to it. That man works hard to provide what he can for his family. Suddenly 2 cute girls show up w cameras to show the world how he lives, what he is able to provide for his family. Then in a short while suddenly things he could never dreamed of providing appear out if thin air. It is hard for the man bc his identity is wrapped up in his ability to provide for his family. He may be happy his family has such nice things now but it is hard for him to look at himself in the mirror (which he does not have). The BEST way to help a family is to 1st share God, but this family had this already. So they needed the 2d thing, honorable work for honest pay. I was shocked to hear on another Pea video how little an older construction worker was paid then again from an American whose construction workers didn't even receive the meager pay he'd given their boss bc the boss stole the money to buy himself a piece of land. (POS!) Workers are far too numerous for the job openings, depressing income. If I had my way, I'd build a business that used much labor (specialty textiles or shoemaker perhaps, or maybe just agricultural work?) Then I would demand "high standards" but pay at least 50% more over the normal wages, giving breakfast to the early-arriving workers also. Such a model would in theory establish very loyal workers who provided excellent quality work -good for business- while receiving much more income than they could elsewhere. No need to discriminate for "cuteness" but I'd hire fathers first, mothers 2d over, single men 3rd vs the Philipines norm of hiring cute young girls first. Many problems in the islands come from men not being respected by employers then being unable to lead families correctly. The 2d biggest social problem is from single moms struggling to raise kids, often by rarely being able to see their kids at night. Poverty & numerous related problems come from fatherlessness. But u can't blame a man when there's no decent wages he can earn.

Pea, the best part, for me, was the clean cookstove in the kitchen after years of inhaling smoke from burning wood in an enclosed space which kills thousands of people every year. You basically saved their lives!
