I absolutely adore this. It reminds me of the 90’s cartoon as well as the comics of course. I really hope audiences aren’t put off like this and get it too. A gripe is a wish they would’ve deepened Thing’s voice a little but otherwise perfect. Way more hyped for this than Supes

I thought it was pretty bland. A collection of scenes I've seen from other flicks including the FOX flicks starring Alba and Evans. The prepping dinner scene went on way too long. It's cool we're getting what seems to be an actual Galactus this time instead of a giant morphing cloud of turds in space, but that's about all I'm excited to see after this teaser trailer and even then, I can wait for it to hit Disney Plus in August or September and just fast forward to those scenes.

I cant lie - I like this new 60s aesthetic going back to the golden age of Marvel. I agree I think they are rebooting the timeline and would LOVE to see the ORIGINAL X-Men in their yellow / black (Iceman, Marvel Girl, Cyclops, Beast) as an introduction.

I still don't understand why so many think this will right the Marvel ship! They've tried it 4 times and it's never clicked with audiences. It's also a lot to put on a movie. Better to let it be whatever it is. I hope it's good and we can all enjoy it, but the general public don't know or care about F4 as far as I can gather....I don't know I'm just a bit perplexed. Adam: full disclosure I'm a Marvel stan---and I will say even I did not watch "The Eternals" (God bless you sir) and well, I didn't like every single Marvel movie either. I do like the cut of your jib so I was interested to see your take. I'll give Fantastic Four some grace here and give it a shot. I will give the movie a shot for the simple fact that Fantastic Four has been made so many times--each slightly more dismal than the last...and I'd like to see if this can be remotely right. I'm willing to be 80 to 90% sold on this movie...we've had time to breath here from Madame Web, Venom 3 Electric Bugaloo, and even Kraven...and they were made by Sony! Give me something here Marvel!

This comes out in the same month as Superman and this is making me more excited for THAT so far. I mean it looks better than ALL the Craptastic 4 movies we've gotten before but that's a low bar to pass. I need to see more trailers to feel any kind of excitement as this teaser was just....Okay.

I'm far more excited for Superman but that's mainly because I like James Gunn's work. This does look more promising than the last few attempts. Hopefully the full trailer brings on the greatness!

Considering how much of a beating Marvel's reputation has taken lately overall (from both Sony and Disney since casuals don't know that much of a difference between the studios doing the Marvel films), if Disney Marvel can't make this unpopular comics family (ignoring Marvel Rivals) work with an competent and exciting film, then they are just unadaptable. Hopefully Julie Garner is handled better with this blockbuster after Leigh Whannel did her no favors with that really mediocre Wolf Man. And yeah I mainly trust James Gunn with Superman as that teaser is off to a more promising start.

The marketing team really wanted the Thing to look like Richie from "The Bear" in that kitchen scene. Because it's that same actor, and his voice isn't even changed at all haha. I've just never been invested in the Four like other people. I do like the viiiiibe, the 60s aesthetic they're going for. Very Jetsons of them. Otherwise, I'm pretty whelmed by this trailer.

I'm a sucker for mid century modern retro futurism and it looks like they're gone heavy on that so that's cool. Outside of that all I can say is, "ok, I'm listening." Which is probably all one can hope for from a teaser. Let's see if the full trailer poops down our backs. Especially when the Silver Surfher shows up.

1) Design the sidebar graphic in Illustator 2) Create the overlay trailer frame in Illustrator 3) Import them into Premiere Pro 4) Animate the sidebar to slide in at the same time as I push the main video to the right 5) Group the frame and the trailer video together and animate them in from the left.

Well... Marvel needs a win. I don't mind the creative direction, and I did not get any political undertones, maybe a tiny bit of girlboss, but tasteful so far. That's progress. It doesn't have to be a revelation, like Ironman was. I would happy enough if this movie turns out to be a decent proof of course correction. Family and friendship is a universal timeless value. So if they keep it at that, there is a chance this is not going to be outdated before it comes out.
