The FASTEST piece I've ever played on cello | Wieniawski Caprice Op.18 | What was I thinking?

Hi Music Lovers!!
We are back! In today's video, I wanna share with you guys a clip of Wieniawski's "Etude Caprice" Op. 18 No.4
This is a piece written for violin, so it's definitely very technically demanding when cellists attempt at it. I spend a lot of time doing slow metronome work and I'm still struggling with intonation and the big jumps 😩 And it's so fast!! I might have played a bit too fast tbh...my natural tendency is to play fast when I get nervous so....
In addition, I thought it might be fun to show you guys what was going on in my head when I was playing the piece. I've heard of people that just don't think at all during performances, but I'm definitely one of those that kept getting anxiety over upcoming hard passages.

I searched "fast cello" as I'm writing a chamber piece and wanted to make sure the cello part was reasonable. HAHA! Your playing this made it clear that a cellist would be insulted by my question. Thanks for educating me, and WOW what a great performance and highly entertaining besides! Loved it; can't wait to check out other things you've done. btw: what struck me was the MUSICALITY- not just a bunch of fast notes; it was really nice.

@@worldwar2historyandgear970Thank you for asking. The piece came out really lovely. It's not technically challenging at all, as it's intended to be very melodic. Mainly I have heard cello as a beautiful solo voice and that's what I wrote here.

0:29 - any particular reason why you couldn't play the passage "Sul C?" (the violin requests Sul- G). There's a reason why it's written for a particular instrument.... but this was still a great interpretation! I really do like it! Thanks for uploading this performance!

Surely it's just the fastest you've ever played that Wieniawski? You make it sound like a wild horse you're trying to ride bareback. When strict tempo markings are scarce, interpretation kills any notion of one 'presto' piece being definitely quicker than another, let alone the quickest of all.
