I stopped going to the gym for 3 years after doing it religiously for 15 years.. i thought it was going to take like 5 years to get all my gains back, but it only took maybe around 6 months or so to get 95% of my gains back. So right now, I realize how very strong muscle memory is, even stronger than steroids, so yeah I dont stress about losing muscle anymore.

I cannot stress enough how crucial sleep is for our health. A close friend of mine, who was only 31, passed away from a heart attack. His blood pressure was alarmingly high at 210 last July. Another friend of ours rushed him to the hospital, and I assumed that with proper treatment and medication, he would recover. Tragically, he passed away just a month later. It seems he may have continued his unhealthy habits despite the warning signs. He was slightly overweight but not obese.

I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately but not surprisingly, this is becoming more common. More and more each of us needs a good support system around, because while there may be individuals that can self discipline themselves into combating our modern world of distractions and unhealthy behaviors, there are many who struggle alone, and it’s difficult to to seek help. It’s very unfortunate.

One of my tricks for dealing with mental / physical recovery & getting sufficient protein was to whip up my fruit flavored protein powder with 1% fat Greek yogurt. Then I’d blend in berries for antioxidants, and freeze the whole mixture so that I’d basically get frozen protein yogurt. When I’m on a cut I can boost my morale by downing a pre-made cup of my homemade protein berry froyo, which can amount to a whopping 100g protein for one large ice cream scoop serving. Best way to make it smooth with no graininess is to use casein powder, I reason that it’s because yogurt’s made out of the same thing? Because of the casein I also try to eat it before bedtime as a nice dessert to look forward to - the casein will then digest long-term as my body recovers while I sleep. Of course if you have only whey then use that; If you’re lactose intolerant you can still do all of this by using non-dairy coconut yogurts and plant protein powders though I cannot attest to the flavour outcome because I’ve never tried it. TLDR: berry protein froyo 1. Morale boost during cutting diet 2. Compact way of serving protein, frees up caloric capacity to fit in tasty low protein meals 3. If you make it with casein powder and eat it before bedtime, it’ll help boost muscle recovery and mix best whey isolate works well too for texture and flavor.

Superb video once again. Consistentency is one of the hardest thing to master. Maybe a video just on how to be consistent with diet and gym would be nice.

I have found this channel just a couple of days ago, besides scientific grounded knowleage and voice, what is really stuck in my mind is the word “point” in Korean from the fashion video 😆 I am so drawn to Asia lately in my life, especially kimchi (!). I believe you should advocate more about fermented food and its benefits to gut health! Love this channel!

As a life / relationship coach I just want to mention that porn and masturbation are perfectly fine, but like Wanhee says at 9:10, yes, you want to limit to what I always advise (1 orgasm per day if you live alone). If you have a partner, then maximum (2 orgasms per day unless you start to feel lethargic, go back down to 1 because your body must have time to recover). That's all. Much love !

That's funny about the snot in the soup. In Spain we say "Me cago en la leche" which means to take a you know what in a bowl of milk. I know, it's really insane but they still say it to this day lol

What would happen if I do my strength training for each muscle group once a week, but hit like 1.5 or 2 hours of HIIT cardio about 5 days a week? Would I lose muscle mass or would I be okay to do that to lose body fat?
