Bent nails get hammered back into shape (and reused), if there's mold on jam, they scrape the mold off and eat the jam (DO NOT DO THIS! It could potentially kill you), clothes get repaired and refitted and finally used down to the last scrap as rags ... etc. The irony is, they are well to-do. They wouldn't have to do this, at all. Haven't really since the late 50's. But just about starving after WWII left a lasting impression. I'm really over the non-binary stuff. I have no problem with people expressing themselves in non-standard ways, but when people in my private circles start immediately halting a conversation to correct someone's use of pronouns, or even correcting pronouns in conversations that AREN'T EVEN ABOUT THEM, it pisses me off. Nobody gives a damn about your gender identity, least of all on the fucking internet of all places, and the entitlement it requires to nag your own friends over it.. I'm so sick of it, its obnoxious. Literally nobody's gender identity is 100% male or female, you're no different from literally everyone else by being "non-binary" Being non-binary on its own seems fine on paper but it seems to always come with a bundle of insecurity and entitlement that just immediately makes someone I'd otherwise get along with very well completely insufferable.
