The Giants already said they are starting Eli this year and I still believe in Webb, I hope the Giants give him a chance. They have $26mil in cap space and with more cuts will have over $30 mil for FA. Resign Pugh, sign Norwell, move Flowers, and thats a good start to rebuilding OL. Probably losing Richburg but Jones showed he can handle C last year. 2nd rounder could very well be an OL as well which could yield a starter. With the WR core healthy and as good as it is, Barkley makes a lot of sense to come in and start right away.
@JealousBishop7 жыл бұрын
Gavin bible LMAO! Eli has plenty of fight left. Ereck Flowers definitely improved. Resign Pugh, let Richburg walk, Brett Jones can man that, move the most versatile lineman in the league in Pugh to RT, draft Will Hernandez in round 2, put Fluker at RG and that's a solid run blocking line. Saquan improves the pass game, blocks, and he sure as hell does run.

Dear Brett I love your uploads they are very detailed. I think I might have an idea for another video for you. I it would be about the shift from the running game being the most dominant part of a team to the passing game. You could take a about how more and more running backs are starting to be used as receivers. You could take about if in 10-20 years running backs will be used to catch screens and block for quarter backs instead of “running” the ball. You could talk about how Alvin Kamara has changed the league and if barely could do the same

that's what free agency and rounds 2-7 are for
@Snakeye8087 жыл бұрын
jmac24611, there's no way you can overhaul an offensive line by drafting a few rookie lineman and expecting them to be the foundation that turns things around. Offensive line rookies typically don't even see the field much because the transition and learning curve is more difficult for that position than any other. Last year they traded up to draft OT Adam Bisnowat. He appeared in one game all year, and it was the very last game of the season.
@jmac246117 жыл бұрын
Bisnowatty was a 6th rounder... In free agency you sign a top guy like Norwell. bring back Brett Jones, move Flowers to right side, and draft a plug and play guy in the 2nd round. Look at the Giants past second round picks, all of them have played and contributed/started games immediately as rookies. And now the Giants have one of the top picks in the 2nd round to grab an OL.
@vl89627 жыл бұрын

If there were to be one critique about Barkley right now, which I think he will fix later on, it’s the fact that he runs “strong”. Basically once he gets up to top speed is difficult for him to change direction like others backs. Part of the issue is because he is so insanely strong and fast, almost like he is stronger and faster than his body originally intended. Either way this guy is gonna be a baller, just might see him get tackled in the open field early on in his career from the lack of top flight cuts.
@geemac72677 жыл бұрын
Browns should take him at #1 so they don't have to worry about somebody else taking him. They can get their QB at #4. I've seen so many mocks with QB at #1 and Minkah Fitzpatrick at #4, but this team can't score points. They need offense. The defense will be okay without a top 5 addition. Don't screw this up, Cleveland (I know you will).
@zohairtharani25247 жыл бұрын
In theory, sure. However, you have to take your QB number 1. You can't risk another team trading up and taking your guy. So if the Browns don't land Cousins, they have to go QB to secure his pick. They'll likely have the choice between Barkley/Fitzpatrick at 4. Should they go Fitzpatrick, they'll likely take a RB later, as it's a deep class.
@maynardburger7 жыл бұрын
This only works if Browns are ok with just 'any' of the top 3 QB's, which might not be the case.
@richard692877 жыл бұрын
I’d actually watch out for the Browns next year if they play all their cards right. They get Kirk Cousins in FA, draft Saquon Barkley at #1 and Minkah Fitzpatrick at #4, as well as draft a solid talent at #33. They have a very young talented squad, and with the help of a franchise QB, everything changes... I mean, just look at the 49ers.
@geemac72677 жыл бұрын
They're 4-44 in the last three seasons. What are they going to do, get worse?

Brett do you honestly think he’s that flawless? I see a RB with unbelievable physical skills but seems to want no part of the contact part of the sport, he never uses that big body to lay into defenders and the advanced pass protection you speak of? Whenever someone decided to run thru him he folded
@TheGeorgeD137 жыл бұрын
Emmitt Smith was the same way. LONG-TERM, it's smart. And he's run through players like they were nothing several times in important plays in important games. Why bother running through guys when you can just simply break their ankles?
@nbrissette1236 жыл бұрын
George Daugherty emitt smith also had the best line in history blocking for him so that’ll help for longevity lol. And imo emitt still ran pretty hard. All I’m saying is the tough yards are what defines all the great backs in history. Those 3rd and 1s or 3rd and 2’s are game changing and when it comes down to you and someone on the other side of that hole or the sideline 1on1 or 2on1 whatever, a great back needs to be able to put his head down and get it cuz sometimes that’s the only option. All the greats have been able to do it. All i want to see from him is enough dancing around loosing yards or fucking hurdling and more north south. He doesn’t need to be a sledgehammer but i feel his game is really soft for his size and skill set.

Ian Jones they took a turd at qb last year and eli was their best option going 3-13...they would be morons not to get their qb of the future

A Man U never know. We all thought there was no way Marshon Lattimore would fall out of the top 5 or Malik Hooker falling out of the top 10. Or even Jonathan Allen falling out of the top 15.

I feel you, but if I were a team in need of a RB, the true value is in rounds 2-3 this year. Michel/Chubb/ Ronald Jones/Kerryon Johnson will all be really good backs in the league.
@doylerudolph79657 жыл бұрын
Zach Williams Zach Williams Hot take here but Guice will be the best pro back in the class, followed by Chubb if his knees stay healthy. A back that plays for contact is infinitely more valuable than a back that needs to get to the edge or behind the defense to be explosive - see the value of Frank Gore/Todd Gurley/Leonard Fournette vs Darren Sproles/Alvin Kamara/Duke Johnson.
@johnniner81347 жыл бұрын
Zach Williams Yup, This draft is loaded with good RB
@14725836999043227 жыл бұрын
I agree that Guice is gonna be a beast. I just left him off cause I think he'll go in the 1st. I disagree with the second point. Did you see Alvin Kamara this year? I'm taking him over every other player you named. This is coming from a Falcons fan.
@jmt31167 жыл бұрын
Barkley is 230 pounds, as a Freshman he broke the most tackles in the BIG 10, he can pound the ball if he wants to, he just isn't a guy who wants to take unnecessary contact. Also Alvin Kamara was the most effective player in the NFL, whenever a team didn't stack the box he cooked them lol, Kamara is also deceptively powerful, he's 215 lbs at 5'10". He's not gonna run over you, but he'll break tackles like crazy.

Hell, just cousins and and barkley and they'd likely go >.500. They've got a solid O-line and they have Josh Gordon. Gordon + Barkley + Cousins alone would give them an opportunity to win most games. Plus, they have a lot of young guys on a pretty solid defense as well.
@thesphinx38437 жыл бұрын
TMGTurdFerguson yea the issue was mostly just Kizer making a lot of terrible decisions when they had chances to win games, and before Gordan came bacm their WRs couldn't catch anything

He is a Giant now, hope your Eagles D are ready for him. Even with an aging QB, and a crappy O-line your Eagles will still have to worry about Barkely. I do have to say if the Eagles had drafted him you are right about 200 yards a game. This coming from a Steeler fan.

@iancone27537 жыл бұрын
thank you. i don't know what people are seeing with some of these comps. I really can't think of a star NFL running back that shied away from contact as much as Barkley does (at his size too!)

You're joking right? He's stronger than half the lineman in this draft. He either gets gang tackled or it's by a shoe string. Dude was the strongest guy on the team...

Are you nuts? You’re comparing a guy who hasn’t played a down of pro football to one of the GOAT RBs. Need I remind you of Reggie Bush Leinart Manziel Jamarcus Trent richardson other’s who dominated collage and completely were destroyed in the NFL? You’re the guy Brett who made videos saying Mallett and Osweiler were the next big thing that Hackenberg was really good his stats just mislead people and just last year said you wouldn’t take Watson in the first round, that kizer was a first round QB and Tredavious White was a slot corner at best. Fancy editing and on screen writing don’t make up for your abysmal talent evaluation
@doylerudolph79657 жыл бұрын
Yo Watson will not keep up his production. He was the luckiest QB in the league by a large margin - most dropped picks, most caught difficult/off-target passes. Now that he's on film, defenses will prepare for him like they have for Dak, who went from looking good with special potential to looking pretty trash.

Misha Boldt why you hatin tho, his analysis is top notch, and this kid clearly has the talent to shake things up in the NFL.
@TheGeorgeD137 жыл бұрын
The greatest talent evaluator of all-time had only a 35% success rate, though. So, for him to have a 20% success rate is pretty legendary, actually.
@mishaboldt67696 жыл бұрын
CJ Jackson I’m not hating on anyone I’m just baffled how Brett can call this kid the next LT. There’s been plenty of superstar receivers running backs quarterbacks pass rushers corners that didn’t make it. College stats don’t mean jack in the pros. I’m not saying he will or won’t be good just that comparing a young kid to one of the best ever doesn’t help anything. You put expectations on him now to live up and don’t let him be himself. It’s like Lavar and lonzo. Zo could’ve been much better much quicker had he not been compared to curry MJ magic lebron. Saying someone is the next whomever puts them on such a high place already they can only go down. If he’s oh idk only say Todd Gurley he’s now a busy because Brett said he’s LT. Just let him play as he is don’t put this standards on him before he’s done anything
