Maybe Matthew Libatique is a veteran cinematographer and he had made a collaboration with the veteran film director Darren Aronofsky since 1998. They started with "Pi". At the same time when Matthew Libatique had been worked with film cameras like ARRI and Panavision. He's a living veteran. Matthew Libatique is a living veteran.

I really love The Fountain, I think Matthew's work is really inspiring. That he had a "rocky" relationship with Aronofsky on that film in no way seems to have hampered the final product. I also really enjoy Man on Fire and I know that Tony Scott didn't really get along with his producers for that one. I truly believe it came out as well as it did, however, BECAUSE they were at odds, the film that neither party had total control over turned out great.
