The Final 5 Apprentice Candidates Join Us Ahead of the Infamous Interviews | This Morning

They’ve survived gruelling tasks, and ferocious sessions in the boardroom, but how will the final five handle the infamous Apprentice interviews? Ahead of their grilling tonight, semi-finalists Paul, Phil, Rachel, Tre and Flo are swapping the boardroom for our studio to tell us what we can expect. And our very own Tim Campbell is still with us to share his verdict on this year’s finalists.

Respectfully, how is phil a finalist??? NINE LOSSES, ONE WIN, AND HE'S PROVEN TO BE FOOLISH. (Basically the worst candidate.) He doesn't deserve to be in the final two, but here we are.

There are definitely worse candidates than him. But regardless you have to keep in mind that once it gets to the final five candidates, it's not about their performances throughout the process and their personality, it's basically entirely about the business plans. And at the end of the day Phil's business is in food. Which has huge potential. Put it on the shelves, it's going to sell sell sell

@@Jamie_Winsh I'm aware his business would rack in lots of coins, but it's so odd, effort-wise how he's ended up as a finalist when there are easily more clever candidates who understand business better.... From the interviews alone, it's obvious all he can talk about is heritage, family values and pies but he has pretty much not discussed proper numbers!! It's the most important thing to talk about in the interviews....

I’m pretty sure Phil was chosen to win from the start due to his already established pie business and the producers never expected him to do so poorly in the process which is why they’ve had to favour him a lot throughout. Him surviving the TV task when he sat back, did nothing and gave all responsibility to Flo was ridiculous lol

Can’t say as I have watched the Apprentice but my daughter says the guy with the pie business has lost all the tasks and survived getting fired. Sugar has already made his choice Sugar is about to eat all the pies.

Lord sugar was being greedy on Paul, he was asking for 50% of a business he did nothing in.

Paul made the right choice. He made that business a success when he had barely anything. To give 50% to someone after he's put in all the hard work to make it profitable? Plus it sounded like it was worth a lot more than 250k for 50% so basically the business worth would be 500k.

I didn't think he'd sack who he did and never thought Phil would be a finalist. Just shows you can lose every week and it doesn't matter. To be honest, the whole show and concept is flawed and it's just TV entertainment. It doesn't really matter how people perform in the tasks, Sugar knows who the finalists are quite early on and their business proposals decide the real winner. So much of it is not real.

@@mahdireza5695 Yeah, the show has consistently been going downhill for years. The tasks could be better and even the final 5 interviews have been watered down. It's basically just reality TV at this and most people are only going on there to get on TV.

The entire concept is flawed. From the outset Sugar knows the business he is going to invest in. Therfore no matter how bad that contestant performs, they will never be fired. Likewise, no matter how many tasks a contest wins, if their business idea is useless, they are not going to progress. Phil has lots of cash in the bank, and Rachel, the girl with the gyms has cash assets. It was a no brainer who the finalists were going to be, even though Phil failed all the way to the final. Add to all of this the toned down, woke interviews, and its time to scrap this sham of a programm.

It’s a bit outdated tbh. it’s had it’s time but has gotten a bit stale. Barely watched it this year but actually thought the interviews were better, been so much aggression last few years they were a bit more watchable this year. In general the candidates seem a bit more serious than previous years. Still think the whole thing needs a bit of a shakeup and has become boring.

@@xcf5587 It was a more genuine and honest program when it was in essence an interview for a job, to be Sugars apprentice. It was all about the candidates abilities and not an opportunity to buy cheaply into a business that Sugar has already recouped his investment many fold due to the free advertisement and high profile the programme affords it.

I like Phil but him winning the show would completely invalidate the point of the tasks. Nine losses and I can’t think of much positive he’s done to make up for it. Also I thought Sugar liked to invest in new start ups not already established succesful businesses?

Odd that almost every video I have commented on (including this one a few days ago) about the greed of half the money in the ba key and half of the business for a fraction of the business value and what's in the bank, is deleted. That takes some power to ensure serious enough negative comments don't stay up. I wonder if that happens with search engines which seriously perhaps dish dirt on the old east end wide boy?
