I normally agree about not having to see the original video first, but in the case of the flying machine... it really enhances the experience to know what is being made fun of. It's instantly hilarious.

1:01:45 I watched the Mega64 video first with no knowledge it was a parody, so my initial thoughts watching it was that it was kinda like a PizzaTron 2.0, and found it hilarious. I then scroll down the comments and notice a comment saying "search for paramotor 85ft crash"... Because I watched it that way round first, I was pissing myself at a dude screaming in agony whilst Siri takes forever to call 9-1-1 thinking about the "Setting alarm for 9pm" bit... And then when he says "Help, I crashed my flying machine" I absolutely lost it.

This was my exact experience. The original video would have upset me and I would have clicked out of it if I saw it first, but having watched the parody first, I was laughing so hard I was crying. It didn't make the parody feel too disrespectful, either - I feel like they did a good job of riding the line.

johnny's elden ring dlc review made me kinda sad, but i get it i wouldn't say putting together the right build takes a lot of time, but if you DON'T do that, you will be putting in a lot of time just to learn all the enemy and boss movesets also i would say it's totally fair if you just don't like having to change your build around or look things up just to beat shit which again is not necessary, but the alternative is sinking a lot of time into the game and not everyone wants to or can

Gates is good, but you need to check out Joe's KC, Jack Stack, and Q39. All amazing. Char Bar is another popular one one, and Arthur Bryants is a classic.

I agree with Johnny that some of the Elden Ring boss design is probably the weakest in the 'soulsborne' series. There's some really cool fights (especially visually) but the purposefully delayed attacks and insane combos just make them more annoying than fun to fight. But the lore, world design and exploration is so good that I still feel it's my favorite Fromsoft game overall except maybe for Bloodborne which similarly has amazing lore and world design.

The delays are really not that bad. Honestly I feel like the community really overstate how bad they are. Elden Ring has incredible bosses mechanically imo. Malenia, Radahn, Maliketh, Mohg. And the DLC as well. Like their only better game imo is Sekiro.

Malenia is not fun mechanically at all. She is an easy if not annoying fight due to her healing and she has one OP attack that will kill you every time unless you bait it out @@ThePuinguin

How can you say this when Dark Souls 2 exists? The main bosses of Elden Ring are for the most part great and there's some pretty unique ones like Starscourge, Rennala, Fire Giant and Rykard, while the DLC has more traditional ones. It's just that the open world nature of the game can make your experience with the fights differ greatly, which is why it's fun to replay.

About what Johnny said about Elden Ring "I am not 20 anymore, I don't have time to make these crazy builds." Nobody is making you rush through the game to be at it as quickly as possible either? It literally took me three months of pretty regular play to beat Vanilla Elden Ring. More bang for your buck if you just take it slow. If it's too hard, take a break, explore somewhere else, go level up, you have a lot of options other than making yourself mash your face against a boss for hours until you win.

I still have that issue of readable text on modern games because I refuse to buy a humongous TV that dominates my living room. I had to get a chair right in front of my TV to play Death Stranding because the font is so small.
